Mitsubishi Motors Corporation proudly premiered its latest innovation, the Mitsubishi DST Concept, a 7-seater SUV, at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show. This concept car marks Mitsubishi Motors’ ongoing commitment to providing fulfilling, adventure-ready mobility experiences for drivers and passengers alike.
Expanding the brand’s presence in the ASEAN region alongside popular models like the Pajero Sport, Xforce, and Xpander, the Mitsubishi DST Concept is designed to meet the growing demand for a comfortable, full-featured three-row SUV. Offering spacious seating for up to seven passengers, this monocoque SUV blends robust capability with refined style.
Takao Kato, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “The Mitsubishi DST Concept represents our vision for a new three-row SUV that aligns with our mid-term business plan, Challenge 2025. The production model will debut in the ASEAN region, including the Philippines, starting in fiscal 2025. As a global strategic vehicle, the DST Concept builds on the success of our ASEAN-born Xpander crossover MPV and the highly acclaimed Xforce SUV introduced in 2023.”
Embodying Mitsubishi’s Signature Design and Robustness
The DST Concept incorporates the essence of Mitsubishi’s “Gravitas & Dynamism” design philosophy. Gravitas is reflected in the SUV’s solid proportions and roomy cabin, while Dynamism is seen in its large-diameter tires and sculpted fender flares, hinting at its road prowess and athletic stance. The blacked-out pillars and wraparound windows emphasize cabin space, while the Dynamic Shield grille with honeycomb detailing exudes a sense of power and protection.

A Spacious, Elegant Interior for All Passengers
Inside, the DST Concept promises a premium experience, blending upscale materials with innovative design. Soft-touch surfaces on the instrument panel and door trims contribute to a luxurious feel, while a panoramic sunroof adds natural light, enhancing the open, inviting atmosphere. The advanced LCD display integrates both the driver and central displays for clear visibility of road conditions, elevating the driving experience with modern, user-friendly tech.
Built for Every Road Condition, Ensuring Comfort and Safety
Mitsubishi’s commitment to versatility is evident with the DST Concept’s five driving modes: Wet, Tarmac, Normal, Gravel, and Mud. Designed for various ASEAN terrains, these modes ensure stable handling in diverse conditions, from rain-soaked streets to unpaved paths. Despite being a front-wheel-drive vehicle, the DST Concept offers ample ground clearance, delivering peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike on any journey.
