Facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5’s arrival comes with a cheaper price

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) has unveiled the new Ioniq 5, which builds upon the renown of the electric crossover with updated styling, notable improvements, and a lower base price.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 5 now features a redesigned front bumper and new alloy wheels, plus a more modern and aerodynamic profile. Hyundai Philippines also added a new rear wiper, while digital side mirrors are added as a major update. It’s also now available in three variants, bringing down the pricing compared to the outgoing model.

The system produces up to 229 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The battery has a capacity of up to 530 kilometers, with V2L functionality.

The Ioniq 5 now also has expanded Hyundai SmartSense capabilities which includes Cruise Control with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor with Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Parking Distance Warning (Forward + Side + Reverse), Manual Speed Limit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, and Surround View Monitor.

The new Ioniq 5 is available at the following prices:

Ioniq 5 EV GL 2WD Standard Range – P2,840,000

Ioniq 5 EV GLS 2WD Standard Range – P3,068,000

Ioniq 5 EV GLS 2WD Long Range – P3,698,000

The new Ioniq 5 is now available in nine exterior and four interior colors, allowing you to mix and match. Its warranty is 5 years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first, while the warranty for the EV battery is 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.

The Ioniq 5 is globally known for being a fun-to-drive EV with sensible qualities that discerning buyers love. However, Hyundai also has an Ioniq 5 for enthusiasts in the form of the Ioniq 5 N. Hopefully, HMPH also brings in the go-faster EV soon.
