Xpress has expanded its services to Central Luzon with the launch of its 4-wheel ride-hailing operations in Pampanga. The move aims to offer a smarter and more inclusive transport option for commuters in Region III, particularly in Clark and Angeles City.

Xpress is a Filipino-owned super app that offers convenient ride-hailing services through motorcycles, sedans, and SUVs. Powered by non-bank financial service company Cebuana Lhuillier, it promotes sustainable mobility while advancing regional inclusion and community empowerment.

Xpress’ Pampanga launch was graced by key officials, including Gen. Richard Albano of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region III, Gen. Lina Sarmiento of the Clark Development Corporation, and Dante Basanta of Clark International Airport. They emphasized the role of Xpress in modernizing regional transport, improving accessibility, and generating livelihood opportunities for the local drivers.

“This marks a significant shift in how we move people in and around Pampanga. Xpress introduces a model of public-private partnership that addresses both accessibility and safety in local transportation,” said Gen. Albano.

For Xpress’ part, its Head of Expansion, Roberto Belda, shared, “Our vision is not just to move people. We’re here to uplift communities, create jobs, and bring world-class Filipino service to every region.”

According to Xpress, Kapampangas can now book Xpress rides with features such as Scan and Ride QR onboarding, advanced booking, and recurring rides for regular commuters. One thing worth noting about Xpress is that the platform offers transparent fares without surge pricing. This makes rides more predictable and affordable while opening new income streams for drivers.

Xpress offers Kapampangans more than just traditional vehicles for transport. It also outlined its roadmap to include new and more sustainable mobility options. By partnering with ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines, the company aims to position Pampanga as one of the first hubs for EV deployment in the country. The company expects to adopt 100% EV operation by 2030 On top of this, Xpress is also working with local government units (LGUs) and Clark International Airport to align with Region III’s development and tourism initiatives.

Xpress’ Pampanga expansion strategy mirrors the company’s successful entry and operation in Boracay, where it partnered with LGUs and the Boracay Land Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BLTMPC) to roll out an inclusive ride-hailing system on the island. Xpress states that the Boracay and Pampanga rollout strategy will now serve as its template for introducing its services to more areas nationwide.
