Xpeng has officially entered the Philippine automotive market, holding a grand launch at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and featuring the Xpeng X9 and the Xpeng L03. Xpeng’s Philippine launch also marked the formal introduction of Anne Curtis as Xpeng PH’s brand ambassador.

Among the products Xpeng PH showcased at its grand launch is the Xpeng X9, the brand’s flagship seven-seater MPV. It is offered in two variants that are differentiated by the second-row seats. The Xpeng X9 Long Range trim is priced at P3,858,000, while the Xpeng X9 with second-row premium seats comes with a sticker price of P4,058,000.

The Chinese car brand said that the Xpeng X9 with premium seats creates a more individualized second-row seating experience through four-way powered headrest adjustment and 16-point massage. On the other hand, the X9 Long Range features zero-gravity seats separated by a central aisle.

Standard in the two Xpeng X9 variants is the intelligent dual-chamber air suspension, which is designed to deliver a comfortable and composed ride, while the powered third row folds beneath the floor at the touch of a button to create additional cargo space.

Both variants are powered by the same front-wheel-drive electric system producing 315 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Each is equipped with a 110 kWh battery, and Xpeng claims it can deliver up to 615 kilometers of driving range (WLTP). The car brand also shared that the Xpeng X9 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 12 minutes.

The Xpeng X9 is available in Midnight Black, Arctic White, and Matte Gray, with Silver Frost available by special order. Both variants come with a Meteorite Black interior, while Coffee is available by special order.

Xpeng X9 customers receive five years of free preventive maintenance services, five years of free roadside assistance, a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, an eight-year warranty for the battery and electric motor, and a 7kW wall charger.

Meanwhile, the Xpeng L03 is the brand’s next-generation AI SUV Coupe, which is offered in four variants, comprising three battery-electric models and one range-extended electric vehicle (REEV).

Leading the lineup is the previously announced Xpeng L03 EV RWD Long Range Ultra at P2,058,000. It is joined by the L03 EV Long Range at P1,698,000, the L03 REEV at P1,598,000, and the L03 EV Standard Range at P1,548,000.

The Long Range Ultra features a 71.1 kWh battery, and it is claimed to deliver a driving range of up to 480 kilometers (WLTP). It also adds front-seat massage, an upgraded sound system, and additional intelligent driving hardware.

The EV Long Range uses the same 71.1 kWh battery and offers up to 520 km of driving range (WLTP). The EV Standard Range combines a 58.3 kWh battery with up to 445 km of range (WLTP), providing a more accessible entry point into the L03 lineup.

The REEV variant, on the other hand, has a 37.2 kWh battery, providing up to 215 km of pure electric range, according to Xpeng. When additional range is required, its onboard engine generates electricity for the battery rather than driving the wheels directly, extending the vehicle’s combined WLTP range to as much as 1,017 km.

Across the lineup, the L03 provides a five-seat cabin, a 539-liter rear luggage area, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and Xpeng’s suite of driver assistance and safety technologies. Exterior colors include Arctic White, Midnight Black, Rock Gray, Silver Frost, and Phantom Purple, paired with a Dark Gray interior.

The Xpeng L03 comes with two years of free preventive maintenance services, five years of free roadside assistance, a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an eight-year warranty for the battery and electric motor. Xpeng L03 EV customers receive a 7kW wall charger, while the REEV variant comes with a 3.5 kW portable charger.

Interested individuals can reserve the Xpeng X9 for P25,000 or the Xpeng L03 for P10,000. Deliveries to customers are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Autocar’s Take

Xpeng has officially announced its entry into the Philippine automotive market, and the brand made sure that its announcement would be grand. To do just that, it held its grand launch at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, an event that was reportedly attended by almost 3,000 people. Aside from showcasing its initial product offerings, the Xpeng X9 and the Xpeng L03, Xpeng PH also introduced Anne Curtis as its brand ambassador. Speaking of which, this is not the first time that Anne Curtis will be endorsing a car brand. Back in 2013 and 2014, Anne Curtis was the face of Audi Philippines.
