Volvo Cars Philippines distributor Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) renewed its support for the Sister Baptista Battig Music Foundation, Inc. as it took part in the 3rd Battig Golf Cup. It was held last November 19, 2025, at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.
The event ran with the theme “Swing for Music,” which underscores its important initiative as a fund-raising activity to support students under scholarship programs in nearby communities and barangays. The program aims to help young talents pursue formal training and develop musical skills that can contribute to both personal growth and academic opportunities.
Present during the event was the Volvo XC60, which gave the participants a chance to take a closer look at one of Volvo Philippines’ key models. Aside from being a stylish photo backdrop, the XC60 served as a showcase of Volvo’s focus on design, safety, technology, and sustainable mobility. The XC60’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system, advanced driver-assistance features, and spacious Scandinavian-inspired cabin were highlighted for guests who explored the vehicle throughout the program.
The model’s premium audio system also drew attention, aligning with the event’s focus on uplifting music education for the future generation. According to HARI, the XC60’s emphasis on sound quality reflects the values of creativity and refinement celebrated by the Battig Music Foundation.
HARI Vice Chairperson, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, an alumna of St. Scholastica’s College Manila and long-time supporter of the foundation, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that develop young talent. She noted that supporting the Battig Golf Cup goes beyond sponsorship. The executive described the move as a shared effort to empower children through music and the arts.
Now in its 3rd year, the Battig Golf Cup continues to gather resources for more than 32 music scholars ready to receive assistance for the school year. Organizers said the sustained efforts from partners like HARI help maintain the foundation’s mission of expanding access to music training and promoting cultural engagement within the communities.
