Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Volvo cars in the Philippines, continues to show its commitment to making local roads safer for both motorists and pedestrians.
As a testament to its effort, Volvo Cars PH welcomed the Board of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine (PCEM) for its 2025 Q4 Meeting at the Volvo Makati showroom. The brand took the opportunity to highlight Volvo’s advocacy for safety innovation by showcasing the technology integrated into its vehicles.
The Board of the PCEM experienced Volvo’s technology, including the Swedish brand’s advanced safety systems, which are equipped across the Volvo model lineup. This effort also reinforces Volvo’s long-term vision, which is called Zero Collisions.

HARI Vice Chair, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo shared that Volvo Cars PH always prioritizes safety. She added that the brand’s dialogue with the Board of the PCEM allowed Volvo to find ways to further contribute to making roads safer for the Filipino people.
“Volvo’s commitment to safety is a collective mission, not just a product feature. By opening our doors to the leaders of the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine, we are deepening the conversation beyond the showroom. Our mission is to integrate our engineering discipline with their clinical expertise, ensuring that the innovations we champion are fully understood and ultimately contribute to safer roads for the Filipino people,” said HARI Vice Chair, President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.
Fellow of the PCEM, President Dave Dato, MD, said it’s inspiring to see how technologies protect the commuting public. Dr. Dato added that Volvo Cars PH’s initiative in making roads safer is heartening.
“It’s truly inspiring to see these amazing technologies already protecting the commuting public. As members of the emergency medicine community, we know that prevention is always better than cure; the fewer people in the ER, the better. As rescuers, our mission is to preserve life, and it’s encouraging to see how technology can help us achieve that goal. Safety is a premium everyone should have access to, and it’s heartening that companies like Volvo share this belief,” said Dr. Dato.

Volvo Cars has been among the leading makers of plug-in hybrids for over a decade. It launched its first PHEV in 2012, with the introduction of a diesel PHEV variant of the V60 estate. Volvo Philippines offers PHEV variants of the XC90 and the XC60. For more information, visit Volvo Cars Makati and book a test drive today.
