The Xpander and Xpander Cross, launched in 2018 and 2020, respectively, are Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s (MMPC) strong contenders in the local multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment. Now, MMPC has pulled the wraps off the refreshed Xpander and Xpander Cross, slated for the 2026 model year.

MMPC updated the Xpander and Xpander Cross with the goal of providing high-quality mobility for Filipino families. With this in mind, the 2026 Xpander and Xpander Cross are designed to maintain their competitive edge in the segment with sharper styling, more advanced technology, and new driver assistance features.

For starters, the Xpander features a new grille design, complemented by chrome accents that highlight the sharper-looking LED daytime running lights. The redesigned headlights, on the other hand, are now improved with black vertical slits that visually give the vehicle a wider stance. The front and rear bumpers have also been refreshed with aero-blade trims, giving the car a sportier look. The refreshed design is rounded off with new 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

As for the Xpander Cross, it now presents a more rugged character, featuring a large trapezoidal grille with a structured mesh design. The front and rear bumpers now come with protective vertical guards, which also add to the vehicle’s rugged persona. And just like the Xpander, the Xpander Cross also runs with a set of redesigned 17-inch wheels.

Inside, Mitsubishi distinguishes the Xpander and the Xpander Cross apart, focusing on each vehicle’s target market. The former represents a clean, classic black motif, with soft-touch materials and stitching for a more modern look and easy maintenance. The latter, on the other hand, greets its occupants with an elegant two-tone burgundy and black interior, giving it a more premium atmosphere. The synthetic leather seat material also comes with heat guard technology for a more comfortable ride, especially during hot days.

While some interior details differ from one model to another, Mitsubishi has equipped both with new features, including a redesigned steering wheel, an 8-inch digital driver information display, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For added comfort, Mitsubishi installed a headrest on the middle seat of the second row.

Regarding driver assistance and safety, the 2026 Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross now feature a Multi-Around Monitor. This feature is highlighted by a series of cameras around the vehicle, providing the driver with a 360-degree view of the immediate surroundings. This helps the driver make precise parking maneuvers, as well as see around the vehicle for potential obstacles, especially behind the car. Not only that, but both the Xpander and Xpander Cross now have active yaw control, which improves cornering stability and handling.

These new colors complete the roster, which includes the Quartz White Pearl, Red Metallic, Graphite Gray metallic, Blaze Silver Metallic, and Jet Black Mica. Mitsubishi also made it exclusive to the Xpander Cross a black roof for that added rugged touch.
