Tuason Racing to hold Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge at MIAS 2024

Tuason Racing announces the launch of Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge- a survival competition that aims to push drivers to their limits and bring out the competitive spirit in them.

In partnership with Gulf Oil, the event culminates in a highly coveted opportunity to join the Tuason Racing team and join a Le Mans style race. The competition will first start at the Manila International Auto Show on April 6, 2024 at SMX Convention Center. This will be followed by Round 2: Karting Challenge on April 27, 2024 at EKart Raceway, SM North Edsa (schedule subject to change). Round 3: Basic Racing Class Challenge will be at Clark International Speedway (date to be announced). Thereafter will be Round 4: Final Round at Clark International Speedway (date to be announced).

“This competition is not just about speed– it’s about strategy, endurance, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The ultimate prize awaits the driver who can prove themselves worthy of the title of Top Driver,” says Aileen Santos, Tuason Racing VP for Operations.

“We are truly excited to have partnered up with Tuason Racing and witness this exciting competition to know who will remain victorious to represent the brand,” says Michael Francisco, General Manager of Gulf Oil Philippines.

Registration for the Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge is now open with an entry fee of Php 10,000. The fee will include Simulator Trials, Karting, and Basic Racing Class.

The winner will get an opportunity to be part of the Tuason Racing working team, the same team behind the success of Toyota Vios Cup and Formula V1 Challenge. Moreover, he or she will also qualify to represent the TRS racing team for a local endurance race.

Aside from the survival competition of Top Driver Challenge, the Top Driver Challenge E-Sports will also be held at the MIAS, under TRS x Monza Booth.  This event will run from April 4 to 7. Php 300 allows a player one session for the qualifying round starting from 3PM of April 4 to  9PM of April 6. To be qualified for the Knockout Round, a player must be one of the top three fastest competitors of the day. A total of nine participants will be qualified for the Knockout Round for April 7. The E-Sports Champion of Top Driver Challenge shall then be declared, and prizes from partner brands will be up for grabs.

The Top Driver Challenge is powered by Gulf Oil, with Monza as partner, together with Apex, OMP, AAP, Imprint Customs, and Clark International Speedway.
