Pinnacle Motorsport unveils 2025 Formula Regional Middle East driver lineup

Pinnacle Motorsport is set to kick off the 2025 season with a four-car entry in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship Certified by FIA (FRMEC). The Motorsport Ireland-licensed team welcomes a mix of returning talents and new faces to its lineup for the five-event series in the Middle East.

Leading the charge is Ernesto Rivera from Mexico. At just 16 years old, Rivera is already a champion kart racer, having secured the SKUSA Winter Series and SKUSA SuperNationals titles in 2023. He made an impressive debut in the Spanish F4 Championship last year, consistently finishing in the top 10 and claiming both a podium and a race win.

Joining Rivera is British driver Finley Green, who returns for another season in FRMEC. After transitioning from sports cars to single-seaters, Green raced with Pinnacle Motorsport in 2024 and expanded his formula car experience in Eurocup-3.

Italian racer Giovanni Maschio also rejoins the team for the 2025 season. Maschio’s best result in FRMEC last year was a ninth-place finish at Yas Marina. He will compete in the first two events of the upcoming championship.

Rounding out the lineup is 17-year-old Jesse Carrasquedo, another talented driver from Mexico. Carrasquedo gained extensive experience in 2024, competing in FRMEC, FRECA, and Eurocup-3. Like Maschio, he will participate in the double-header at Yas Marina.

The 2025 FRMEC calendar remains largely unchanged, with Yas Marina Circuit hosting the first two rounds in January. The series then moves to the Dubai Autodrome for Round 3 in February, before returning to Yas Marina for Round 4. The season concludes at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, home of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, on February 25-27.

  • Round 2: January 21-23 (Yas Marina Circuit)
  • Round 3: February 7-9 (Dubai Autodrome)

John O’Hara, Team Director of Pinnacle Motorsport, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season:
“Coming off our successful outing at last year’s Macau GP World Cup, we’re thrilled to return to the track in 2025 and aim for strong results. Finley and Giovanni bring valuable experience from their previous seasons, while Ernesto and Jesse are exciting new additions to our roster. We’re also looking forward to racing at the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit, a fantastic addition to the calendar.”

Pinnacle Motorsport’s campaign in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship Certified by FIA is supported by partners Motorsport Ireland and KC Motorgroup Ltd.

Organized by Top Speed, the FRMEC was launched following the success of the Formula Regional Asian Championship UAE seasons. With the Middle East emerging as a hub for junior single-seater motorsport, the championship provides a structured pathway for drivers to progress from karting to F4 Middle East and eventually Formula Regional Middle East.
