Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is set to elevate the driving experience with the official launch of the New Honda HR-V on March 9, 2025. First previewed at HCPI’s Media Thanksgiving event in January 2025, the New HR-V marks the latest addition to Honda’s growing lineup of full hybrid vehicles in the Philippines. This reinforces HCPI’s commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that enhance lives while promoting environmental sustainability.
Unveiling New Features
The New HR-V introduces several enhancements designed to redefine driving comfort, performance, and safety:
- Enhanced Driving Performance – Now available with Honda’s 1.5 e:HEV hybrid system, the New HR-V delivers a combined output of 106PS and 127Nm torque from the engine, while its electric motors produce 131PS and 253Nm torque. The hybrid system achieves an estimated fuel consumption of approximately 23 km/L (based on UN-R101). Drivers can also choose from three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. Meanwhile, the S and V variants come with a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), producing 121PS and 145Nm torque.
- Sophisticated Exterior Design – The New HR-V continues Honda’s tradition of premium styling, featuring an eye-catching front grille and bumper design. The RS e:HEV variant showcases a sporty chrome mesh grille and a distinct sport-type bumper with a red amp-up line. For added convenience, the model includes a hands-free power tailgate with walk-away close functionality. Additional features such as Honda LaneWatch, auto rain-sensing wipers, and auto reverse tilt mirrors provide a more intuitive driving experience.
- Premium Interior Comfort – Inside, the New HR-V offers a refined cabin experience with ULT seats that allow for flexible storage configurations. The RS e:HEV variant further enhances comfort with dual-zone automatic climate control. All variants come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, while the V and RS e:HEV variants also include a wireless charging pad.
- Advanced Safety Technologies – In line with Honda’s commitment to a collision-free society by 2050, the New HR-V is equipped with an improved Honda SENSING suite across all variants. This includes:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)
- Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Road Departure Mitigation System
- Auto High-Beam (AHB)
- Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN)
- Next-Generation Connectivity – A new standout feature of the New HR-V is the 20GEN Honda CONNECT system, which allows users to remotely manage vehicle functions via a smartphone. Features include remote climate control, lighting controls, remote lock/unlock, automatic collision detection, trip history, geofencing alerts, and real-time vehicle status updates.
The New Honda HR-V will be available in three variants: S CVT, V CVT, and RS e:HEV E-CVT. Customers can choose from six exterior colors, including the new Sand Khaki Pearl, exclusive to the RS e:HEV variant.
