Ford Philippines has reached a milestone for the Ranger Raptor V6 as the performance pickup completes its first year in the market with a community of 1,000 owners nationwide. According to Ford, strong demand led it to officially include the Ranger Raptor’s V6 variant in its regular lineup starting January 2025, after its local debut last year during the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
The company said that the Ranger Raptor V6 has gained consistent traction since launch, appealing to both off-road enthusiasts and daily users. Developed by Ford Performance, the truck is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost gasoline engine, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It’s rated at 397 hp and 583 Nm of torque.
As a serious off-road machine, the Ranger Raptor V6 rides on a set of Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shock absorbers. It also comes with seven selectable drive modes, including the Baja mode intended for high-speed off-road driving.
Several owners shared how the Ranger Raptor V6 fits into their routine. System integrator Angel Santiago, one of the earliest buyers, uses the truck for regular client visits and long-distance travel. But Santiago is no stranger to the Raptor as he previously owned a 2.0-liter diesel Raptor. After personally seeing the V6 at launch, he took no time to add it into his garage. “No matter the distance, the Raptor V6 turned my client visits into something I look forward to,” Santiago remarks.

Zainal Limpao, also among the first batch of buyers, alternates the V6 with his Ford Everest. He highlighted the V6’s performance on a rain-affected family road trip from Cavite to Pangasinan, where the engine and all-wheel-drive system contributed to a more relaxed drive.
Another owner, Ivan Capati, recounted a solo three-day trip to La Union and Baguio under heavy rain. He noted that the pickup exhibited stable and predictable behavior despite the unpleasant driving condition. He shared, “Despite the adverse weather condition, I never felt unsafe at any point. Mind you, I usually bring someone with me in case something happens and I would need help. This time, however, the Raptor V6 felt planted, powerful, and comfortable the whole way, so I never felt stressed.”
For Roger Aventurado, a member of a local Raptor club and a long-time pickup user, the Ranger Raptor V6 is his most capable pickup truck to date. He has owned several ranger variants since 2018, and now drives the V6 most of the time. Similarly, club member Ken Chee upgraded from earlier Raptor versions to the V6, citing noticeable performance improvements, especially on rough roads.

The Ranger Raptor V6 continues to serve as one of Ford Philippines’ key models, with owners using it for their daily commuting and off-road leisure drives. Its first year on local roads reflects a steady following for performance-oriented pickups in the country.
