Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH) is now almost ready to officially open the sales books for its latest model, the Fronx small hybrid SUV. Designed to appeal to Filipinos who value both form and function, the Suzuki Fronx combines modern styling, practical features, and safety technology for everyday driving.
While the brand didn’t mention any specific price points ahead of its official launch next week, it’s expected that the Fronx will sticker between P1.1-million to P1.3-million. What SPH confirmed, though, are the available variants, which include the entry-level GL 4AT, the mid-tier GLX 6AT Hybrid, and the range-topping SGX 6AT Hybrid with Suzuki Safety Support.
On the outside, the Suzuki Fronx carries the rugged stance of an SUV with coupe-inspired character lines. A sizable grille enters the scene up front, and is complemented by a pair of split-style LED headlights. Below the front bumper are skid plates that not only protect the front end from damage, but also add style to the SUV’s appeal.
On the side, the Suzuki Fronx boasts a double fender design, pronounced shoulder line, and flowing character lines that help bring out that coupe-like aesthetics. Also, depending on the variant, the Suzuki Fronx sports a set of 16-inch alloy wheels in black or polished metal colorways. Bridging the visual flow between the wheels are a pair of skid plates, with black as the standard color for the GL variant. Completing the profile is a roof rail to accommodate an extra load. The GL gets this piece in black.

The rear end, meanwhile, continues the rugged styling with skid plates beneath the bumper. Looking up, the Fronx leaves the scene with features such as rear bumper reflectors, LED tail lights, rear upper spoiler, and a shark fin antenna to round out the style.
Inside, the Suzuki Fronx presents a dual-tone black and burgundy cabin, highlighted by footwell lights, silver dashboard accents, and stylish seats featuring 3D stitching. SPH levels up the interior for the GLX and SGX. These higher trims feature synthetic leather door trims and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Unique to the SGX’s interior are features like the 360-degree view camera and wireless device charger. The entry-level GL, meanwhile, gets a 7-inch touch screen head unit.

Powering the Suzuki Fronx is a 1.5-liter engine that delivers 103 hp and 138 Nm of torque. This is mated to either a 4- or 6-speed automatic transmission, depending on the trim. As hybrid models, the GLX and SGX trims get an enhanced K15C Dual Jet 1.5-liter engine with a 12V hybrid system, which registers 99 hp and 135 Nm.
Safety-wise, the Fronx takes in Suzuki’s HEARTECT platform with Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) for rigidity and crash energy absorption. Standard safety includes ABS with EBD, hill hold control, electronic stability program, and six airbags.
The SGX gets more features with its Suzuki Safety Support system. These include dual-sensing brake support with automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, active cruise control with a stop-and-go function, lane departure warning and prevention, among others.

Finally, SPH lays out the available colors of the all-new Fronx. Buyers may choose from Magma Gray Metallic, Snow White Pearl, Savannah Ivory Metallic with black accents, and Ice Grayish Blue Pearl Metallic with black accents, among others.
