The Nissan Navara has remained a strong contender in the pickup segment, but its age is showing. The current generation, despite several facelifts and updates to stay competitive, has been around 2014, which means the platform and powertrain have largely remained the same. It is undoubtedly due for a full revamp, and it’s happening soon.
After earlier speculations, Nissan has officially confirmed that the next-generation Navara will be unveiled on November 19, 2025. The announcement came from Nissan’s Oceania division, accompanied by a short heritage film under the “Defy Ordinary” campaign that celebrates nearly four decades of the Navara’s presence in Australia and New Zealand.
Nissan did not disclose detailed specifications, but reports suggest the new Navara will share its architecture with the latest Mitsubishi Triton, thanks to The Alliance. The teaser materials have revealed a new silhouette and a more defined body structure, which we assume should translate to a more robust design.
Moreover, the upcoming model will reportedly integrate heritage-inspired styling with contemporary technology and enhanced usability. Nissan Oceania Managing Director Andrew Humberstone stated before that the vehicle’s development has been guided by extensive customer feedback gathered over the years, with particular focus on adapting to the varied driving and working conditions of Australia and New Zealand.

Australia and New Zealand will receive the all-new Navara in the first half of 2026 following the global debut. Other markets, including the Philippines, may see the model arrive by late 2026 or early 2027, depending on local rollout schedules and market preparations.
In the Philippines, the current Navara remains a core model for Nissan, even one of its best-selling nameplates. It’s currently powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine producing 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque. In 2024, it was given an update that improved its interior quality and infotainment system. Once introduced, the next-generation Navara is expected to compete closely with the Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Mitsubishi Triton, and Toyota Hilux – the latter is also rumored to debut in November.
