Autocar’s Take
Toyota Motor Philippines’ soon-to-rise dealership in Antipolo, Rizal, shows the car brand’s commitment to further expand its network in the country. Despite being the top car brand in the Philippines, Toyota does not want to slow down and intends to continue establishing its foothold in the local automotive industry.
The continued expansion of Toyota makes sense as the local market is becoming more competitive with more car brands being introduced, especially the ones that originated from China. One example of it is BYD, which recorded over 440 percent increase in sales last year, yielding more than 26,000 units sold. BYD is also expanding its dealer network nationwide.
