The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is all set for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 51st Edition Grand Parade of Stars on December 19, Friday, in Makati City. The MMDA and the Makati City government are working closely to ensure organized traffic flow for the MMFF Parade

The MMDA said that a temporary lane closure and stop-and-go scheme will be implemented along the route of the MMFF Parade in Makati City. Motorists are being advised that traffic adjustments will be in effect from 12:01 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the following roads: Macapagal Boulevard, Senator Gil Puyat Avenue, Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue, J.P. Rizal Street, and AP Reyes Avenue.

The MMDA shared that motorists will be made to stop intermittently on specific lanes to allow the parade to pass quickly, then traffic will be resumed. The MMFF Parade will travel through Buendia Avenue, Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue, J.P. Rizal Street, A. Reyes Avenue, and will end at Circuit Makati. The MMDA is expecting the parade to run for one hour and 40 minutes and will cover a distance of 8.4 kilometers.

The Makati City local government serves as the host city for this year’s parade. In line with this, MMDA Chairman and Concurrent MMFF Overall Chairman Romando Artes extends sincere gratitude to Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay for graciously hosting the event and for their all-out assistance to make the parade a memorable one.

“The [Makati] city government’s invaluable support and commitment to facilitate the smooth flow of the parade and ensure the safety of the people attending the parade are commendable,” said Artes.

The MMDA is also advising motorists to plan their trips and use alternate routes on Friday, December 19, 2025. Here are the alternate routes shared by the agency:
