Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is set to unveil an all-new compact SUV at the 30th GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show happening on August 11-20, 2023.
As per an official press release from Mitsubishi, the upcoming compact SUV will usher a new line of SUVs in the ASEAN market, one of Mitsubishi’s core business regions.
Currently, Mitsubishi has the Montero Sport as its sole SUV offering in the country. Earlier this year, the brand introduced the latest iteration of the Xpander Cross in the country, an MPV model with SUV-inspired exterior features.
Based on the teaser photo provided, the upcoming model will feature T-shaped headlights similar to the latest Xpander. The brand has yet to reveal more photos of the upcoming model but as per its release, the all-new compact SUV will feature a stylish yet robust, authentic SUV styling. It is also set to offer practical features such as ease of handling and versatile storage spaces. As per comfort, the upcoming Mitsubishi promises spacious cabin.
Furthering on comfort amenities of the soon-to-launch Mitsubishi compact SUV model, the brand also shared that it will be equipped with Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium. This is an in-car sound system that was specially developed by Yamaha Corporation for Mitsubishi.
With a special tuning optimized for the acoustic characteristics of the cabin, the new sound system in the all-new compact SUV delivers a premium, immersive sound experience, making driving even more exciting, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone on board.
The brand also shared that the all-new compact SUV has been developed especially for the ASEAN market with repeated testing and tuning in the road environment of the region. Mitsubishi furthered that the upcoming model will be able to handle rough surfaces and even road floods brought by heavy rains.
