Maserati premieres the Folgore to usher in their new electric era

Maserati celebrates 110th year with Folgore Day to highlight their new electric era

Modena-based Italian carmaker Maserati recently celebrated their 110th anniversary with the much-anticipated Folgore Day. Founded in 1914, Maserati has chronicled a rich history in motoring and motorsports. The Folgore Day officially marks the brand’s entry into the new electric dimension, where the Folgore range is ready to dominate and represent the Brand’s future around the world.

The event featured the unveiling of several key models in Maserati’s new all-electric lineup. The GranTurismo Folgore, Maserati’s pioneering electric car, and the Grecale Folgore, its first electric SUV, have already made waves. Additionally, there’s the GranCabrio Folgore, a stylish convertible that extends the GranTurismo’s design into the open-air experience. This lineup, Maserati says, is set to expand with the MC20 Folgore super sports car, expected in 2025.

By 2028, Maserati plans to fully electrify its range, as part of a broader strategy announced earlier in 2024 focusing on sustainable growth and continuous innovation. All vehicles in the Folgore range are designed and produced in Italy, underscoring Maserati’s commitment to maintaining its heritage while steering towards the future of mobility.

Folgore Day also served as a launch pad for the “It Turns You On” campaign, showcasing the vibrant energy of Maserati’s new direction through a collaboration with Italian musician Damiano David, lead singer of the rock band Måneskin. The campaign, embodied by a dynamic 90-second film, captures the essence of Maserati’s passion and innovation.

In addition to the car launches, the event offers insights into Maserati’s enhanced customization options through its Fuoriserie program and a sneak peek into its venture into electric marine mobility with the TRIDENTE, an all-electric luxury motorboat developed in partnership with Vita Power.

Folgore Day not only signifies a new chapter for Maserati but also sets the pace for the luxury automotive industry’s evolution, promising a blend of high performance, refined aesthetics, and groundbreaking technology.
