Automobili Lamborghini has officially unveiled its latest marvel, the Temerario, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, the centerpiece of the prestigious Monterey Car Week. This new twin-turbo V8 hybrid super sports car marks a significant milestone for the legendary Italian marque, succeeding the iconic Huracán and setting a new standard in the super sports car segment.
With a staggering total power output of 920 CV, the Temerario can reach speeds exceeding 210 mph (over 340 km/h) and boasts an astonishing acceleration from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds. It is the second Lamborghini HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) and the third step in Lamborghini’s comprehensive electrification strategy, following the successful hybridization of the Revuelto and the Urus SE.
The Temerario replaces the Huracán, which debuted in 2014 and quickly became the best-selling super sports car in Lamborghini’s history. Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, emphasized the importance of performance evolution in the company’s new offerings. “Every new Lamborghini must surpass its forerunners in performance terms,” Winkelmann stated. “With the Temerario, we have achieved a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure. It is the first and only production super sports car engine capable of reaching 10,000 rpm—something typically only seen in motorsports.”

Winkelmann further highlighted the significance of the Temerario in Lamborghini’s broader strategy: “We’ve exceeded our expectations with what the mid-engine sports car can be in terms of performance and design. The Temerario completes the next chapter in our Direzione Cor Tauri plan by hybridizing the full product line, while we continue developing our full electric model, set to debut at the end of the decade.”
In addition to the Temerario, Lamborghini showcased its fully hybridized lineup at Monterey Car Week, including the flagship Revuelto and the super SUV Urus SE. The Revuelto features a 6.5-liter V12 mid-engine delivering 1,015 CV, with a top speed of 217 mph (over 350 km/h), while the Urus SE boasts a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, achieving a total output of 800 CV and a top speed of 194 mph (312 km/h).
Beyond its physical debut, the Temerario was also launched in the virtual realm through the Lamborghini Lab on Roblox, a platform designed by Automobili Lamborghini to engage and inspire new generations. In this digital space, enthusiasts can customize their own Temerario using options from Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio and experience the thrill of racing their personalized supercar on virtual tracks against friends and competitors worldwide.

The unveiling of the Temerario at Monterey Car Week marks a pivotal moment for Lamborghini as it continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of super sports cars. With its cutting-edge hybrid technology and record-breaking performance capabilities, the Temerario is set to become a new legend in the automotive world.
