Jetour Auto Philippines has officially launched its latest electrified SUV offering. Meet the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM, a significant step in the brand’s local electrification strategy. The Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM is positioned as a modern, tech-forward SUV aimed at buyers seeking a ride that offers both capability and driving pleasure.

The T1 Lightning i-DM features the brand’s latest i-DM (intelligent dual mode) hybrid powertrain technology. It’s engineered to deliver a smooth balance between electric driving efficiency and traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) practicality.

The Chinese SUV carries a confident and contemporary design, highlighted by its large front grille with integrated light strip, LED headlights, and robust SUV stance. Measuring 4,705 mm long, 1,967 mm wide, and 1,843 mm tall with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, it sits right in the midsize SUV category. In profile, the SUV flaunts a masculine presence. This is detailed by a set of 19-inch alloy wheels housed in wide front and rear fenders that enhance its broad appearance. In back, the style is finished off with a sizable bumper, garnished with a diffuser-like design to convey its adventure readiness.

The cabin reflects Jetour’s focus on modern technology. It highlights a tech hub, featuring a 15.6-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The tech is powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip, which allows it to support wireless smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control, and multi-screen interaction. The system is connected to a 9-speaker audio system for the best sound quality on every journey.

On the safety front, Jetour has equipped the T1 Lightning 0-DM with a host of features. Headlining this is the SUV’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features that include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. In addition, a 540-degree camera system aids in maneuvering through parking lots and tight spaces, while multiple airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, and a reinforced body structure provide comprehensive occupant protection.

At the heart of the T1 Lightning i-DM is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that puts out 140 hp and 215 Nm of torque. This is paired with an electric motor powered by a 26.7 kWh battery pack, which allows it to exert a performance output of 201 hp and 310 Nm. Combined, the i-DM powertrain enables the SUV to deliver 341 hp and 530 Nm. All these figures are managed by a DHT (direct hybrid transmission) hybrid dedicated gearbox.

As a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the T1 Lightning i-DM supports fast charging systems, allowing a 30% to 80% top-up in just 30 minutes. Using standard EV chargers, the battery can reach full capacity in under four hours. This flexibility gives owners the freedom to drive in all-electric mode for short trips or utilize hybrid mode for longer journeys. Jetour says that the combined driving range f the T1 Lightning i-DM is rated at 1,300 km, while its all-electric/pure EV driving range is at 117 km.

Jetour Auto Philippines offers the T1 Lightning i-DM in a suggested retail price of P1,898,000. Moreover, it comes in five color options – Black, Gold, Green, Silver, and White. As a special introductory offer, the first 100 customers who will make a purchase of the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM will receive a complementary Jetour smartwatch, aligning to the SUV’s tech-forward and adventure ready character.
