HyundaiPH treats first batch of N Customers to an exhilarating Handover Ceremony

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) celebrated a major milestone with the ceremonial handover of the IONIQ 5 N and Elantra N to the Philippines’ inaugural group of Hyundai N customers on September 7. The event took place at Okada Manila, where customers gathered to commemorate the occasion.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dongwook Lee, President of HMPH; Mr. Cecil Capacete, Managing Director of HMPH; and Mr. Jeesang Kim, N Brand Strategy Team Manager. Eighteen Hyundai N units were officially delivered to customers by the country’s four Hyundai N Dealerships: Hyundai Alabang, Commonwealth, Makati, and Pasig.

The handover was highlighted by a drift stunt exhibition at the Okada Manila Boardwalk. Autocraft Drift Philippines showcased an exciting performance with Mr. Audel Sison, known as Dr. Drift, behind the wheel of the IONIQ 5 N. His daughters, Ms. Ariane Sison (Sister Drift) and Ms. Ashley Sison (Daughter Drift), performed in the Elantra N. The event also featured Mr. Sungu Cho, professional Korean drifter and CEO of D Spec Motorsports Team, who presented the original IONIQ 5 N Drift Spec from South Korea. This thrilling display highlighted the impressive capabilities of the IONIQ 5 N, named the 2024 World Performance Car, as well as the dynamic qualities of the Elantra N. Both models embody Hyundai N’s core principles: Corner Rascal, Everyday Sportscar, and Racetrack Capability.

Following the successful debut of the Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N at the Manila International Auto Show in April 2024, this handover marks a new chapter for Hyundai N in the Philippines. The N Car Meets series and the N Pop-up Store at Karrera Showroom have further nurtured a community of N enthusiasts, establishing the Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N as Hyundai Motor Philippines’ flagship vehicles for high-performance technology and exhilarating driving experiences.

“Hyundai N is instrumental in redefining high-performance driving in the Philippines, underscoring our commitment to providing innovative and future-ready mobility solutions for Filipinos. This event is more than a handover ceremony; it is a reflection of our dedication to advancing automotive technology,” said Mr. Dongwook Lee, President of HMPH.

Following the ceremony, HMPH Managing Director Mr. Cecil Capacete opened the track for drift taxi rides, allowing customers to experience the thrill of Hyundai N firsthand, guided by the D Spec Team and Autocraft Drift Philippines.

Interested customers can view the Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N and purchase exclusive N merchandise at Hyundai N Dealerships in Alabang, Commonwealth, Makati, and Pasig.
