HyundaiPH donates Stargazer units to the PNP

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) recently strengthened its partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) through the ceremonial turnover of five (5) Hyundai Stargazer Premium units. The event took place on November 27, 2024, at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame.

The occasion was graced by key HMPH executives, including President Jiho Son, Managing Director Cecil Capacete, and Chief Finance Officer Hongshik Chin. PNP officials in attendance included Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil, Police Colonel Jaime Serina III, and Police Major General Mario Reyes, along with members of the PNP Command Group.

This donation highlights the ongoing collaboration between HMPH and the PNP. In 2023, HMPH extended its aftersales support by providing free two-year Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) for the PNP’s fleet of Hyundai patrol cars. This ensured the vehicles’ roadworthiness and operational readiness.

“As the Philippine National Police plays an indispensable role in maintaining peace and order, Hyundai is committed to supporting their mission with modern, efficient, and reliable vehicles,” said HMPH President Jiho Son. “The Hyundai Stargazer is a testament to this commitment. With its advanced technology, comfort, and dependability, it is designed to meet the mobility demands of public service. We hope these vehicles enhance the PNP’s operations while ensuring the safety and comfort of their personnel.”

PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil expressed his gratitude, noting the significance of the donation. “These vehicles will greatly enhance the administrative operations of the PNP Command Group and the Directorate for Logistics. Improved mobility and efficiency empower our personnel to focus on their duty to serve and protect the Filipino people. Together, through steadfast partnerships like this, we are building a modern and reliable police force for a safer tomorrow.”
