Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the exclusive distributor of Hyundai Trucks and Buses in the Philippines, is set to make a significant mark in the electric commercial vehicle (E-CV) sector. On May 2, 2025, HARI will host the Hyundai Truck and Bus Mobility EV-olution Expo at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City—a key event that convenes government officials, industry leaders, and transport cooperatives to shape the future of smart, sustainable transport in the country.

Timed to coincide with the nation’s annual celebration of Filipino workers, the event highlights Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and its support for transport entrepreneurs, fleet operators, and logistics providers. The expo serves as the official launch platform for Hyundai’s pioneering range of E-CVs—vehicles engineered to deliver optimal efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Leading the charge is the Hyundai Mighty EV, a light-duty electric truck equipped with a 114.5 kWh battery, a range of up to 370 kilometers, and a gross vehicle weight of 7,300 kg. This vehicle offers a clean, quiet, and efficient solution tailored to meet the demands of urban logistics.

Complementing it is the Hyundai County New Breeze EV, designed as a zero-emission alternative to conventional diesel-powered passenger vehicles. With a powerful 128 kWh lithium-ion-polymer battery and a range of up to 303 kilometers, the County EV represents a compelling option for modern public transport.

The expo will also debut the locally assembled HARI Cab, powered by a Euro 4 D4CC diesel engine that delivers 160 ps at 3,000 rpm and 40 kg-m of torque. Featuring a 14-foot deck length, this model offers greater payload flexibility and is ideal for urban and commercial applications.

Paving the Way for Smarter Transport

In addition to product launches, the Mobility EV-olution Expo will host a transport forum featuring experts and business leaders discussing key trends in transport modernization, EV adoption, and smart mobility solutions.

HARI President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo emphasized that the event is more than a showcase—it is the launchpad for the company’s Byahenyo Program, an initiative designed to support and empower local transport entrepreneurs.

“We want our clients—especially those in public transport—to evolve with us,” she said. “A Byahenyo is an empowered transport entrepreneur who embraces innovation and inspires growth in their communities. Through this movement, we envision creating Byaheroes—visionary leaders who will drive the transformation of the transport industry.”

With its forward-thinking initiatives and cutting-edge electric vehicle lineup, HARI is steering the Philippine transport sector toward a cleaner, more efficient future.
