Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) distributed over 1,000 school bags in 2025 through its “Hope in a Bag” project, which was carried out in collaboration with Knowell PH, a local brand that produces bags from sustainable materials.

The Korean car brand said that throughout 2025, it has partnered with Knowell PH during events such as the Hyundai Mobility Experience, where customers redeemed exclusive Hyundai-branded Knowell bags as part of on-site promotions. For every bag redeemed during Hyundai’s events, the car brand pledged an equivalent donation of one school bag.

HMPH shared that the Hope in a Bag project is its way of innovating the customer experience by allowing clients to be a part of a good cause. Hyundai said that it managed to distribute a total of 1,130 bags filled with school materials to children across several local communities and schools.

“Hyundai Motor Philippines is a proud partner of Knowell PH. We are thrilled to have donated over a thousand schoolbags to several beneficiaries nationwide to cap off 2025, all thanks to the support of our customers. This shows our customers that when you are a Hyundai owner, you get to make a difference,” said HMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete.

The turnover ceremonies were held in collaboration with local government units, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and local school administrators. Beneficiaries included communities from Talisay City, Cebu; Taguig City; Iba, Zambales; and DSWD Residential Care Facilities, namely Marillac Hills, Haven for Children, and Nayon ng Kabataan.

Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano shared that the city government is grateful to Hyundai PH’s initiative. “We are grateful that Hyundai’s commitment aligns with our advocacy of empowering young learners and instilling in them the importance of education as a foundation for a brighter future,” said Mayor Cayetano.

Aside from the Hope in a Bag project, Hyundai PH has also launched other initiatives last year that intend to help communities. Among its programs is the Service with a Heart campaign, which ran from August to September 2025 across Hyundai’s authorized dealerships nationwide.

Under the campaign, Hyundai pledged P150 for every out-of-warranty vehicle serviced, while in-warranty customers were encouraged to donate hygiene kits. Hyundai PH turned over P386,700 and 849 hygiene kits to Good Neighbors Philippines and its partner community in San Isidro, Rizal.
