HFI Board of Trustees & Associates headed by President Seiji Fujimoto with PRC Team

In a gesture of solidarity and support, Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) donated Php 1 million to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to help alleviate the hardships faced by families affected by Typhoon Kristine. The ceremonial handover took place on October 29, 2024, at the PRC headquarters in Mandaluyong City, underscoring Honda’s dedication to supporting Filipino communities in times of disaster.

This contribution aims to bring hope to communities severely impacted by Typhoon Kristine, particularly in Batangas Province within CALABARZON, as well as in Region 5 and Northern Luzon. Over the years, PRC has been a steadfast partner of Honda in serving communities affected by crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Super Typhoon Odette. Recently, in September 2024, Honda provided life-saving generator sets to power PRC chapters across the nation, reinforcing its commitment to public welfare. “We deeply appreciate PRC as a reliable partner in extending aid to Filipino communities in need. Our long-standing partnership reflects our shared commitment to saving lives and providing support in challenging times,” the Honda Foundation Board stated.

Honda also extended heartfelt gratitude to Filipinos for their continued support of Honda products, emphasizing the company’s commitment to stand with communities in recovery efforts. “Together for Tomorrow, Honda will continue to work toward a brighter future for every Filipino family,” the board added.

Honda Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Honda’s Philippine companies, includes Honda Philippines, Inc. (motorcycles and power products), Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (automobiles), Honda Parts Manufacturing, Inc. (parts manufacturing/export), and Honda Trading Philippines Ecozone Corporation (storage and warehousing). Since its establishment as a non-stock, non-profit organization on December 23, 1992, HFI has remained “One with the Community” through initiatives focused on environmental protection, youth development, addressing urgent community needs, and promoting road safety.

With an enduring commitment to serve society, Honda aspires to be “a company that society wants to exist,” contributing to a sustainable future by enriching lives through its social contribution initiatives worldwide.
