Aside from strengthening its aftersales support service and ensuring parts delivery, Geely Philippines is confident in the list of safety technologies integrated into the Coolray in giving you a safe drive during inclement weather. The car brand said that the Geely Coolray makes “driving safe, comfortable, and convenient in wet and unpredictable driving conditions.”
Among the safety tech features on the Geely Coolray is Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which helps maintain stability on slippery roads by automatically applying brakes to individual wheels. This allows the Coolray to better control and prevent skidding on wet roads.
Working hand-in-hand with the ESC is the Coolray’s Traction Control System (TCS). This safety tech improves the vehicle’s grip by preventing wheel spin when accelerating on wet surfaces, ensuring better driver control during inclement weather. Geely added that the Coolray has Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), which is said to provide additional braking power during sudden stops, helping the vehicle brake more effectively on rain-soaked roads.
Visibility when parking, especially in bad weather, is no problem with the Geely Coolray, which is equipped with a 540-degree around-view camera. The car brand said this feature provides a clear, all-around view when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.
Completing the around-view camera is the Coolray’s four-way HD digital video recorder (DVR), which automatically records the vehicle’s surroundings, which can be useful for safety documentation during weather-related incidents.
The Coolray also comes with a Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system that enhances safety when changing lanes, especially in poor visibility conditions such as rain or fog. Adding to its suite of tech features is rain-sensing wipers, which feature a front induction-type wiper that automatically adjusts wiper speed based on the amount of rain on the windshield.
Geely said the Coolray features a high-strength, energy-absorbing safety body, which translates into a more durable structure that protects occupants in the event of a crash. Moreover, its ground clearance of 180mm is at par with its class, allowing you to safely navigate gutter-deep floods.
The Geely Coolray is available in four variants: 1.5L Comfort Plus (P989,000); 1.5L Premium Plus (P1,049,000); 1.5L Sports Plus (P1,149,000); and 1.5L Sports Plus (LG) (P1,179,000).
