GAC Motor Philippines, under the helm of Astara, has joined this year’s Manila International Auto Show. Featuring an enormous booth with its best-selling models on display, GAC’s centerpiece is the just-launched Emkoo Hybrid SUV, their first entry in the local hybrid SUV market.
The Emkoo Hybrid SUV retains its unique sharp and futuristic design elements. Assisting its 2.0L ATK engine is a full parallel hybrid system. While the engine delivers 140 hp and 180 Nm of torque, the hybrid system follows through with 134 KW of power and 300 Nm of torque. Moreover, GAC says that the Emkoo also has a 2-speed hybrid transmission. With all these systems combined, GAC claims that the Emkoo Hybrid SUV records a fuel consumption efficiency rating of 22.1 kilometers per liter.
As for its safety features, advanced driver assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA) among others are also found in the Emkoo Hybrid SUV, complementing its technological innovations.
The Emkoo Hybrid SUV will be available for purchase in the Philippines by June 2024. More details on pricing and vehicle features will be provided closer to its retail launch.
