Retail sales of the current Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) began in the Philippines in June 2026. Two months after its launch in the local market, a report is circulating online that Toyota could launch the facelifted version of the Land Cruiser 300 on September 16, 2026, as reported by Japanese automotive publication Creative Trends.

The report stated that the facelifted Toyota Land Cruiser 300 could come with minor cosmetic tweaks, which is usually the case for vehicles undergoing a mid-cycle refresh. The difference is said to be found under the hood, as Toyota will reportedly drop the Land Cruiser 300’s gasoline turbo engine.

For the facelifted model, Creative Trends shared that it could be equipped with either a brand-new hybrid engine or a 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbo diesel engine. Aside from retiring the gasoline turbo engine, the report goes on to mention that the fuel tank capacity of the HEV model will be reduced from 80 liters down to 68 liters. Meanwhile, the diesel variant is said to keep its 80-liter fuel capacity.

There could also be a slight adjustment when it comes to the Land Cruiser 300’s overall dimensions. Its 2,850mm wheelbase is said to be retained, but its overall length could be slightly reduced to around 4,950mm, which is shorter than the current 5,130mm measurement. Again, the numbers stated here are not yet official.

Meanwhile, the facelifted Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will reportedly come with the same double-wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, paired with ventilated disc brakes on all wheels.

Going back to the Philippine market, Toyota Motor Philippines is now offering the Land Cruiser 300 HEV that is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine and a hybrid motor for a total of 415 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Exterior color options for the Land Cruiser 300 HEV include Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, and Gray Metallic, which come with a sticker price of P6,930,000. Meanwhile, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV in Precious White Pearl color is priced at P6,945,000.

Autocar’s Take

Reports coming from Japan state that Toyota will be launching a facelifted Land Cruiser 300 in September 2026, featuring minor cosmetic updates along with revamped powertrain options as well as adjusted dimensions. However, you have to take note that the information circulating online is not yet final or official. All of these are speculative as of this writing. But if you look into the Land Cruiser 300’s timeline, it is now due for a mid-cycle refresh, as its current design debuted around 2021. Car brands, such as Toyota, typically do a mid-cycle refresh for models that have been on the market for at least five years.
