Chinese car brand iCaur is preparing to enter the local automotive industry, as it announced that it will be officially launching the brand this October 2026. iCaur will also be introducing two vehicles in October, which include a pure electric vehicle (EV) and a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV).

The iCaur V23 is a pure EV subcompact SUV, while the iCaur V27 is an REEV. Both vehicles feature a boxy design, which combines classic off-road styling with a modern touch. The iCaur V23 has won the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026 in Germany. iCaur said that the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious design honors, alongside the iF Design Award and the IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards).

iCaur added that the Red Dot Award is a testament to its design capabilities and confirms that the V23 meets the highest international standards in “classic design, spatial practicality, and multi‑scene experience.”

Of note, the Chinese car brand shared that the “i” in iCaur stands for “Inner Self,” “Intellect,” “Imagine”, and “Interactive.” iCaur’s design approach is guided by the concept of “classic never fades.” As mentioned earlier, its vehicles come with a boxy design.

iCaur is under parent company Chery Automobile and targets lifestyle-oriented car buyers who are looking for distinctive vehicles over traditional styling. Following its initial rollout in China, iCaur has expanded across global markets, including Southeast Asia, Australia, South America, and Europe. Recently, iCaur V27 REEV made its first appearance in Thailand, as it debuted at the 2026 Big Motor Sale.

iCaur will be distributed locally by Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines, which is a subsidiary of Chery. The car brand said that its models will be sold in independent dealerships. Expect more information about iCaur’s expansion in the Philippine market as the days draw near to its October launch date.
