ChevronPH donates laptops to Ateneo de Naga University

Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex fuel and lubricants, has partnered with the HS 67 Alumni Association to donate 20 refurbished laptops to Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU). This donation, made through AdNU’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Access E-Skwela project, aims to assist students affected by Typhoon Kristine.

Chevron’s support for AdNU dates back to previous initiatives, including the donation of law school textbooks and 30 laptops during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. These contributions have helped students navigate academic challenges, particularly those facing financial difficulties.

Typhoon Kristine, which struck in October 2024, caused severe flooding in the Bicol region, leaving many students without the necessary tools for learning. In response, AdNU reactivated the Access E-Skwela donation drive, with Chevron stepping in to provide additional laptops to affected students.

“We deeply appreciate Chevron Philippines’ generous contribution. These laptops will greatly aid our students in continuing their education,” said Rodolfo ‘Sonny’ SB Virtus Jr., Director of the Office of Student Affairs.

“Chevron is honored to support Ateneo de Naga University and its students. We hope these laptops will serve as valuable tools in their academic journey,” said Raissa Bautista, Senior Corporate Affairs Manager at Chevron Philippines Inc.

Chevron remains committed to investing in education as a key driver of economic growth and community well-being.
