Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of the Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants, has signed new lease agreements with Batangas Land Company, Inc. (BLC), reinforcing its commitment to provide stable and reliable fuel services across the Philippines.
The agreements cover strategic properties located in San Pascual, Batangas; Lapu-Lapu, Cebu; San Fernando (Poro), La Union; and Sasa, Davao City—sites critical to CPI’s fuel terminal operations serving Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The ceremonial signing was held on April 2, 2025, at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, led by CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu and BLC President Lilia Arce. The signing marks the culmination of a two-year negotiation, solidifying Chevron’s presence in key regional hubs.
“These terminals are the backbone of our supply chain in the Philippines,” Liu said. “This renewed partnership allows us to continue meeting the energy demands of Filipino communities while strengthening our long-term investment in the country’s energy infrastructure.”
BLC President Arce highlighted the broader significance of the partnership: “This collaboration extends beyond business. It exemplifies how public-private cooperation can deliver meaningful impact to communities through sustained energy access and employment.”
Chevron’s Vice President for Asia Pacific Sales, Yu Lee Toh, also attended the event and expressed optimism for further investments in Philippine infrastructure. “This renewal strengthens Chevron’s foundation here and enables continued growth as we expand our terminal capabilities.”
The signing was witnessed by key representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the National Development Company (NDC), the Department of Energy (DOE), the Board of Investments (BOI), the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, and the US Embassy.
US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson emphasized the symbolic importance of the partnership, calling it “a testament to the enduring alliance between the United States and the Philippines,” especially as both nations approach the 80th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2026.
With more than a century of operations in the Philippines, CPI continues to grow its network of over 600 service stations and supply points, ensuring accessible, secure, and sustainable energy solutions for Filipinos nationwide.
