The local new energy vehicle (NEV) segment is rapidly growing today, more than ever, with many car brands pitching in their own electric and hybrid models to keep the market’s momentum at speed. With this in mind, the rising demand comes the need to provide establishments that specialize in NEV care, repair, maintenance, and other after-sales services.
Enter Bosch Car Service Philippines. With nearly 100 years of automotive business in the country, Bosch has adapted to the NEV area by opening its very first Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Workshop Concept, in partnership with ACMobility. The Bosch Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Workshop Concept is located within the company’s already-established service facility in Bacoor, Cavite. It is the first independent facility in the country authorized to service NEVs.

The building boasts seven car bays capable of servicing multiple vehicles of varrying types at once, including traditional internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered models, reassuring that the facility remains flexible and accommodating to all kinds of vehicles. To accommodate NEV servicing, Bosch added specialized equipment such as NEV diagnostics machines, electric motor and battery maintenance tools, specialized NEV tire servicing equipment, enhanced technician safety gear, among others.
The Bosch Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Workshop Concept offers basic preventive maintenance services (PMS) and accessory installation, mechanical and electrical dignostics, and even air-conditioning servicing. Moreover, the facility is also accepting warranty servicing for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, NEV computer software updates, as well as high-volage battery diagnostics, repair, and conditioning.
During the inauguration, a Bosch technician shared that aside from regular safety work gloves, they also use special high-voltage protection gloves for increased safety in handling NEV electrical components. With regards to this, Bosch is on top of its technicians’ skills and technical know-how improvement by providing training programs for servicing NEVs. This resulted in its recent achievement of becoming an accredited service center of VinFast Philippines and its lineup of EVs.

Bosch says that, as of now, the NEV servicing facility will serve as a feature of a particular Bosch Car Service center, not as a stand-alone structure. It also said that this is the first of many Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Workshop Concept facilities it plans to establish nationwide. This move aligns with its goal of building 85 to 100 Bosch Car Service centers in the country by year 2030. It clarified, however, that adding the NEV service facility feature takes into account the market demand for EVs and hybrid vehicles in a particular area, which means not all its future-planned locations may have the feature, at least initially.
“As the country continues to embrace electric and hybrid vehicles, dependable servicing becomes a non-negotiable part of the journey. Through this pioneering joint development, ACMobility and Bosch Car Service are expanding access to reliable, expert EV care that supports the growing mobility needs of Filipinos. Together, we are building a stronger, future-ready after-sales ecosystem that gives EV owners greater confidence, convenience, and support throughout their ownership journey,” shared Geronimo Campilan, General Manager of Bosch Car Service.
