In the front end, the new interpretation of the twin circular headlights and BMW kidney grille – both signature BMW design elements – bring a powerful, distinctive presence to the car’s visuals. The all-new BMW 7 Series comes as standard with Adaptive LED Headlights including High-beam Assistance. The light functions are divided into two separate areas.
The extremely slim strip of lights set higher up in the front end brings together the daytime driving lights, sidelights and turn indicators. The low-beam and high-beam headlights are positioned in the dark lower units chiseled deep into the front apron. Further specific design features of the new-generation model include the clear surface-work of the front apron and the chiseled bonnet with dynamic streak down its centerline.
The side profile of the all-new BMW 7 Series also reflects its visual elegance. It has virtually flush-fitted side windows with invisible seals. A shoulder line running from the daytime driving lights into the rear lights subdivides the taut bodywork. The long doors provide ease of entry and exit for the rear passengers, while having the soft-close function. Also visible on the sides are the 19” light alloy wheels with the double-spoke 903 style.
Like the front end of the all-new BMW 7 Series, the eye-catching rear is also shaped by a clearly divided surface structure. The slim LED rear light units exude puristic elegance and extend well into the car’s flanks.
There are six colors available for this new model, namely Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Sophisto Grey, Sparkling Copper Grey, Space Silver, and Oxide Grey.

Luxury at its most progressive awaits the driver and passengers inside the all-new BMW 7 Series. The interior reflects the balance between driving dynamics and travelling comfort that marks out the new-generation model. To the driver, the all-new 7 Series is an alluringly dynamic sedan, while the rear-seat passengers can indulge in a feel-good ambience from another dimension.
To uphold the brand promise of superior interior design and comfort, newly developed seats in Veganza upholstery come as standard in the all-new BMW 7 Series. This high-quality surface material with leather-like qualities stands out with its particularly pleasant feel and offers a high level of comfort, while offering a CO2 emissions saving of around 85 percent compared to the traditional trim. The comfort seats offer wider seat surfaces than the outgoing model, as well as extensive electric adjustment and lumbar support for the driver and front passenger. The multifunction seats for the first and second rows with optimized heating ensure luxurious comfort.
Electrically-operated roller sun blinds are also available to create a luxuriously private rear space in the all-new BMW 7 Series. Rear-seat passengers can either operate each roller sun blind on their individual Touch Command control displays integrated into the rear doors, or the driver can also opt to engage this via the infotainment system. Passengers in the rear can also control several functionalities within the vehicle such as making phone calls on the car’s Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System, access to climate control features, and adjusting the seats. To further enhance the cabin experience, four-zone automatic climate control with new slot-type vents and a fixed panoramic glass roof are also included.
The all-new 7 Series also fulfills a unique user experience by including significant advancements in the area of technology. With the aim of creating a personal relationship between the user and vehicle, the 7 Series features the new BMW iDrive system powered by the latest-generation Operating System 8. It allows drivers to enjoy intuitive, multimodal control of vehicle, navigation, infotainment, and communication functions. The operating system is designed with a clear focus on dialogue-based interaction using natural language through the BMW Intelligent Voice Assistant and touch operation via the BMW Widescreen Display, which groups together the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and the 14.9-inch central information display.
Wireless smartphone integration for both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is available in the all-new 7 Series. And to further connectivity on the road, a wireless charging tray can be found in the center control island.
The BMW Interaction Bar also makes its debut in the all-new BMW 7 Series as a new breed of control/operation and design element. This functional unit, which boasts a crystalline surface structure with highly effective backlighting, extends across the full width of the instrument panel and well into the door panel trim. It houses touch-sensitive control panels for adjusting the ventilation and climate control, activating the hazard warning lights and opening the glove compartment.
The 7 also showcases the new My Modes function which creates an all-encompassing interplay of vehicle functions, displays, and interior ambience. They each activate specific settings for the powertrain and chassis, the appearance of the readouts on the BMW Widescreen Display and the interior lighting including the BMW Interaction Bar. The Expressive Mode and Relax Mode debuts in the all-new BMW 7 Series – Expressive Mode blends colors and abstract patterns in the content on the BMW Widescreen Display, while Relax Mode sees the focus shifting to well-being, harmony, and relaxation, accompanied by graphics on the BMW Widescreen Display inspired by natural landscapes.
Harmonious integration of powertrain and chassis technology.
Offered in the 735i Pure Excellence variant in the Philippines, the all-new 7 Series includes a host of innovations in its chassis and drive system to help it ensure a safe and supremely assured driving experience.
Fitted as standard in the 7 Series is the adaptive two-axle air suspension system with automatic self-levelling as well as adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers. This is to constantly maintain the optimum ride height at all speeds, resulting in comfortable, assured handling.
These are coupled with an engine that ranks among the most powerful in its class. The all-new 7 Series comes with a BMW TwinPower Turbo 3.0L in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine with the 48V mild hybrid system that produces 286 hp and 425 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission which allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Not only does the mild hybrid system enable more comfortable operation of the auto start/stop function, it generates torque of 200 Nm and an output boost of up to 9 kW/12 hp (depending on the driving situation), translating into remarkably instantaneous response to the slightest movement of the accelerator.

Driver assistance functions are perfectly geared towards providing the best possible support in all traffic situations. The all-new 7 Series brings together several intelligent driving features such as Cruise Control with braking function, Crash Sensor, Active Protection, and Active Guard.
Active Protection warns the driver if it detects signs of fatigue – safety belts are pretensioned in critical situations, electric seats are returned to upright positions and the windows and sliding roof are closed. If an accident occurs, the brakes are automatically applied until the car reaches a standstill.
Active Guard, on the other hand, monitors potential hazards and supports drivers to react in time. It preconditions the vehicle brakes and, in some instances, applies them to minimize stopping distances in an emergency.
Drivers of the all-new BMW 7 Series also benefit from effective assistance when parking and maneuvering as standard thanks to technology such as Active Park Distance Control (PDC) and Parking Assistant with the Reversing Assist Camera. The standard Parking Assistant helps the driver select and park in spaces either parallel or perpendicular to the road. It can also be used to exit parking spaces if necessary by carrying out the acceleration, braking, and gear changes required for the maneuver.

Its BMW kidney grille – fully enclosed to optimize airflow – sports the logo of the BMW i sub-brand. The standard BMW crystal headlights Iconic Glow enhance the impressive presence of the front end by creating a light effect unmatched by any other car. Here, crystals from Swarovski – arranged in L-shapes and each backlit by LED units – perform the role of sidelights and daytime driving lights. The crystal headlights also lay on a visually expressive Welcome and Goodbye Scenario. All of the soundscapes developed as part of the collaboration between the BMW Group and renowned film score composer Hans Zimmer are available to provide the drive sound for the all-electric BMW i7.
Electric motors with no critical raw materials in the rotor.
The fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology in the BMW i7 comprises highly integrated drive units at the front and rear axles that bring together the electric motor, power electronics and transmission within a single, very compact housing, plus the accompanying charging technology and high-voltage battery.
The electric motors work according to the principle of an electrically excited synchronous motor, where it is a precisely controllable electrical feed that sets the rotor in motion rather than fixed permanent magnets. This allows the use of critical rare earth metals (required for magnetic components) to be avoided altogether in the manufacture of the rotor.
The virtually silent power delivery of the first-ever BMW i7 xDrive60, and the luxurious sense of driving comfort this instils, are further helped by improvements to the electric drive units’ acoustics, a model-specific mounting concept, and newly developed noise encapsulation for the electric motors. The motor driving the rear wheels generates peak output of 230 kW/313 hp, while the unit at the front axle produces 190 kW/258 hp. The duo of drive units delivers a combined maximum output of 400 kW/544 hp and posts overall torque of 745 Nm. All of which enables the first-ever BMW i7 xDrive60 to power from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The experience when accelerating is defined not just by the car’s electrifying, instantaneous power delivery, but also by its supreme traction and directional stability. Underpinning the majestic dynamic prowess of the first-ever BMW i7 xDrive60 are its electric all-wheel drive and its precisely tuned driving stability systems headlined by the near-actuator wheel slip limitation.
The outstanding efficiency of the current BMW eDrive technology translates into combined electric power consumption of 19.6 – 18.4 kWh per 100 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle. This enables the first-ever BMW i7 xDrive60 to post a range of 590 – 625 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The top speed of the first-ever BMW i7 xDrive60 is electronically limited to 240 km/h.

Driver assistance functions further the i7’s ability to promote unique driving experiences. The BMW i7 is fitted with the Driving Assistant Professional system as standard. This includes multiple intelligent driving features to aid in steering, lane control, lane change, and distance control. Drivers also benefit from the Emergency Stop Assistant and Lane Departure Warning.
The Parking Assistant Plus function makes parking and maneuvering a breeze. The camera and ultrasound-based assistance system provides a Surround View system for a 360-degree view around the vehicle including a three-dimensional visualization. The Panorama View in the front and rear adds a further layer of safety to approach intersections and exists, and in combination with radar-based monitoring of the area in front of the vehicle, the system warns of crossing traffic.
Charging with ease.
Every purchase of the first-ever BMW i7 comes with a BMW i Wallbox that will be installed by BMW i partners in the customer’s home. Combining BMW i design and reliability, the BMW Wallbox Gen 3 provides a fast way to charge their vehicle at a rate of up to 11kW. Once the vehicle is plugged in, charging begins and will end automatically when the battery is fully charged or has reached the pre-determined level. The intelligent battery management system ensures an optimum balance between charging performance and durability of the battery cells. In addition, the first-ever BMW i7 is compatible with all public charging stations that are widely available across the country.
