SMC Asia Car Distributor Corp., the official distributor of BMW vehicles in the Philippines, has expanded the 7 Series lineup by introducing the 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). This gives customers more options to choose from when shopping for a BMW 7 Series, as it is now available with either a gasoline engine, a full electric powertrain, or a PHEV.
BMW Philippines said that the 750e xDrive PHEV offers the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and elegance. It also gives potential owners the best of both worlds since it comes with a turbo gasoline engine along with an electric motor. The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV also marks the brand’s fourth PHEV model in the Philippines, which includes the BMW XM, BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport PHEV, and BMW X3 30e xDrive M Sport PHEV.
Design-wise, the 750e xDrive PHEV looks similar to the current BMW 7 Series range, which is expected since this vehicle is a new variant addition. It features the same bold and assertive exterior design seen on the gasoline and electric variants of the BMW 7 Series. The front end is fitted with the large BMW kidney grille with “Iconic Glow” illumination and sharp-looking adaptive LED headlights.

The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV’s side profile has smooth yet prominent character lines, complemented by stylish 20-inch alloy wheels. This design combo gives the BMW 7 Series a dynamic and elegant finish. It is finished off with L-shaped taillights for that distinctive road presence when driving at night.
The interior comes with premium Veganza upholstery, a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, a four-zone automatic climate control, and roller sun blinds for rear passengers. It also has a panoramic glass roof that gives the cabin natural light.

Powering the BMW 750e xDrive PHEV is a 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that’s paired with an electric motor producing a combined output of 489 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. BMW claims that the 750e xDrive PHEV can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

BMW PH said that the vehicle’s hybrid system allows for an electric range of up to 86 kilometers (WLTP). The combined total range, utilizing both the electric motor and the combustion engine, is reported to be up to approximately 750 km.
The BMW 750e xDrive PHEV retails at P7,990,000, and it comes with a portable flexi charger and a 5-year comprehensive BMW warranty (or 200,000 kilometers, whichever comes first).
