Autocar Philippines claimed another podium finish at the second leg of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup 2023.
Participating at the Autocross Challenge Media Sporting category, John Rey San Diego held on to the third spot anew following a similar finish in the initial leg of the series.
Apart from podium finish, the 29-year-old driver from Malabon also claimed the fastest overall time in its class, clocking in 42.58 seconds in one of his runs in the recently-concluded leg.
San Diego, who is a true-blue motorsport enthusiast is thankful for the opportunity that Toyota Motor Philippines made.
“I’m very grateful to Toyota Motor Philippines for giving us the chance to experience the exhilarating experience through the Gazoo Racing Vios Cup Autocross Challenge. Being able to join and be with all these participants is such a privilege already. The podium finishes are just a bonus that I’ll be treasuring in my lifetime,” San Diego said.
This is the second podium finish by San Diego in one of the most popular racing series in the country today. Prior to his recent third place finish, San Diego also claimed a podium spot in the opening round of the 2023 Toyota GAZOO Racing Vios Cup Autocross Challenge.
