Aston Martin unleashes DBX S high-performance SUV

Aston Martin proudly unveils the DBX S, the new pinnacle of its luxury SUV range. Building on the dynamic foundation of the DBX707, the DBX S incorporates cutting-edge performance technologies derived from the upcoming Valhalla supercar, resulting in an SUV that delivers heightened power, reduced weight, and a bold, commanding design. Distinct in both presence and engineering, the DBX S continues Aston Martin’s tradition of using the ‘S’ badge to signify enhanced performance and bespoke craftsmanship.

“The introduction of the DBX S is a clear statement of Aston Martin’s continued commitment to innovation, luxury, and thrilling driving performance,” said Adrian Hallmark, Aston Martin’s CEO. “It underscores our ambitions for the DBX range and the broader brand.”

At the heart of the DBX S is an upgraded 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, benefiting from Valhalla-derived turbo enhancements including larger compressor wheels and internal refinements. Output rises to 727PS, achieving 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds. A recalibrated 9-speed wet-clutch transmission optimizes responsiveness, while revised exhaust tuning amplifies the unmistakable V8 soundtrack.

Performance improvements extend beyond the powertrain. Intelligent weight-saving measures include an optional carbon fibre roof and newly developed 23-inch magnesium wheels—the first of their kind in the SUV segment—contributing to a total reduction of up to 44kg. A lightweight polycarbonate grille, faster steering ratio, and refined suspension calibration further enhance agility and ride comfort.

Visually, the DBX S commands attention. A black vaned grille, quad-stacked exhausts, and aerodynamic enhancements—including carbon fibre side strakes, splitters, and a redesigned rear diffuser—highlight its sporting intent. Exclusive touches such as red-infused ‘S’ badging and new livery options in Rosso Corsa Red, Trophy Silver, and Podium Green reinforce its performance pedigree.

Inside, the DBX S features a bespoke herringbone seat design in Alcantara with optional semi-aniline leather. The cabin is defined by precision craftsmanship, including embroidered ‘S’ logos, red seatbelt options, and embossed Aston Martin wings applied using advanced sculpting techniques. The new in-house infotainment system pairs with either the standard 800W Aston Martin Premium Audio or an optional 1,600W Bowers & Wilkins system tailored specifically to the DBX S.

A modern interpretation of power, luxury, and technological excellence, the DBX S is now available for order with first deliveries scheduled for Q4 2025.
