Aston Martin is the first automotive manufacturer globally to integrate Apple CarPlay Ultra, delivering an enhanced, fully connected in-car experience that merges the marque’s performance heritage with the seamless functionality of iPhone.
CarPlay Ultra builds on the capabilities of Apple CarPlay, offering real-time data across both the infotainment screen and instrument cluster. The system offers a recognisable interface tailored with Aston Martin’s design DNA, and introduces new levels of personalisation and control. Initially available on the DBX SUV and the brand’s core sportscar range, CarPlay Ultra is now standard on all new orders in the United States and Canada. It will also be offered as an update in the coming weeks for existing vehicles equipped with Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system.
Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin, commented: “We are proud to collaborate with Apple as the first brand to launch CarPlay Ultra. Our commitment to performance extends beyond engineering to include technology and in-vehicle experience. This integration highlights our focus on working with world-leading partners to elevate the ownership experience for Aston Martin customers.”
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, added: “CarPlay Ultra redefines how drivers engage with their vehicles. By integrating more deeply with the vehicle’s systems, we’re creating a smarter, safer, and more unified interface. We are excited to begin this new chapter with Aston Martin.”

CarPlay Ultra supports configurable instrument clusters, enabling drivers to personalise dial designs and access full-screen maps and media. Vehicle functions such as climate control and audio can be managed via touchscreen, physical buttons, or Siri, and iPhone-powered widgets fit seamlessly within Aston Martin’s 10.25” display interface.
This integration is made possible by Aston Martin’s bespoke infotainment system, introduced in 2023 with the DB12. Developed entirely in-house, it provides a refined blend of touchscreen convenience and tactile controls, while ensuring compatibility with future connectivity innovations.
CarPlay Ultra will expand to additional global markets within the next 12 months. It requires an iPhone 12 or newer, running iOS 18.54 or later.
