Antipolo-based transport group adds 15 new Foton Modern PUVs

The Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC), a transport service company in Antipolo City, adds 15 new Foton Modern PUV (Public Utility Vehicle) units to their fleet. This marks a significant milestone for the city’s public transportation system.

The launch and turnover was graced by the attendance of key figures including Leo San Juan, President of Manindra Auto Corp- Foton Quezon Avenue, and Lito Landicho, Vice President for Aftersales of Foton. Their presence highlighted the importance of this partnership and the commitment to delivering top-quality transportation solutions.

The ceremony also featured Centro Manufacturing, which produced the bodies for the PUVs, represented by Assistant Sales Manager Lotis San Jose. She expressed strong support for Foton, Lungsod Silangan, and the PUV Modernization program, underscoring the collective effort to enhance public transportation.

Special guests included Chairman Raul Evangelista, General Manager Arcadio Inso, Foton QA President Leo San Juan, Lito Landicho VP for Aftersales FMPI, Foton QA GM Romy Arnar, Antipolo City Councilor Susan Garcia Say, Public Transportation Head Emerson Dela Pena, Barangay Captain James “Rikrik” Bautista, and Vice Mayor Josefina G. Gatlabayan. Their participation underscored the community’s commitment to improving public transportation.

The new Foton PUVs are expected to significantly enhance the commuting experience for residents of Lungsod Silangan, offering modern, safe, and comfortable transportation options. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize the public transportation system and promote sustainable mobility solutions in the region.

Leo San Juan expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm, stating, “Napakalaking karangalan na mapaglingkuran ang Lungsod Silangan. Makakaasa ang LSTSMPC na ang partnership na ito ay hindi pansamantala kundi pangmatagalan.” This reflects a long- term commitment to providing reliable and efficient public transportation to the community.

Lito Landicho emphasized the importance of aftersales support, guaranteeing fast, efficient, and reliable service. He added, “Ang Foton ay tapat na maging kapartner sa transport system sa Antipolo,” highlighting Foton’s dedication to maintaining high standards of service and support for their vehicles.
