Team Mercedes-Benz Philippines made its presence felt on the world stage as it had a strong run at the 2026 MercedesTrophy World Finals amateur golf tournament, finishing among the Top 9 teams out of 26 participating countries.
The golf tourney was held at Der Öschberghof, a five-star superior golf, spa, and resort destination in Donaueschingen, Germany. The 2026 World Finals featured 78 golfers from 26 countries. Representing the Philippines were Mercedes-Benz PH customers Danilo Gutierrez, Ron Christopher Del Rosario, and Nunnatus Cortez.
Mercedes-Benz PH said that the trio showcased their skill, dedication, and sportsmanship. A standout achievement came from Del Rosario, who secured second place in the Single Net B category, marking a first for Team Mercedes-Benz Philippines at the World Finals. Combined with the team’s Top 9 overall finish, the car brand said that the achievement represents a “defining moment for the country’s participation in the global MercedesTrophy community.”

The MercedesTrophy World Finals also offered golfers a once-in-a-lifetime experience to connect with fellow players, celebrate their passion for golf, and experience the prestige and heritage of Mercedes-Benz. Before the tournament, the participants also visited the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, exploring the brand’s rich history and iconic innovations. Participants got the chance to meet Bernhard Langer, Mercedes-Benz Golf Ambassador.
Mercedes-Benz PH shared that the World Finals golf tourney experience allowed Philippine representatives to build international friendships, exchange experiences with fellow players, and create lasting memories through a shared passion for golf.
Aside from showcasing talent in golf, Mercedes-Benz PH also served as the official mobility partner of “EVOLUTION,” an exclusive culinary collaboration between Chef Chele González of Gallery by Chele and Chef Aitor Zabala of three-Michelin-starred SOMNI in West Hollywood, California.

The German car brand said that the collaboration reunited the two chefs more than 20 years after their time at the iconic El Bulli. Through the event, the chefs highlighted how culinary artistry continues to evolve through experimentation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Chef Chele, who is a Mercedes-Benz PH Brand Ambassador, is said to embody the spirit of pushing boundaries and redefining excellence. The brand added that his pursuit of culinary innovation reflects the values that have shaped Mercedes-Benz for 140 years.
