The all-electric iCaur V23 has received the prestigious 2026 Red Dot Award: Design Concept, an accolade that is regarded as one of the most respected design honors globally. Chinese car brand iCaur said that this award is a testament to the enduring vitality of classic aesthetics in the era of electrification.
iCaur has also previously said that the Red Dot Award shows the brand’s design capabilities and confirms that the V23 electric subcompact SUV meets the highest international standards in “classic design, spatial practicality, and multi‑scene experience.” The car brand added that the Red Dot Award: Design Concept is known for its rigorous judging criteria.
Unlike product‑category selections, concept awards require the jury to look beyond design quality and delve deeper into the creative thinking behind each project. iCaur noted that this year’s jury was particularly impressed by the high level of innovation and the thoughtful design approach demonstrated by the iCaur V23.
The iCaur V23 is a boxy off-roader that combines classic design details with modern features. The car brand said that the V23’s round headlights preserve the classic identity of hardcore off‑roaders, while a transparent radar cover and pixel‑style high‑mounted stop lights inject a distinctly tech‑forward feel.
Aside from having an assertive exterior, the iCaur V23 is integrated with over 20 reserved modification interfaces, which are said to offer several customization options. iCaur previously shared that the V23 features more than 20 standardized mounting points across areas including the roof, dashboard, D-pillars, and chassis. These mounting points can accommodate accessories such as roof racks, side ladders, crossbars, console mounts, and cargo systems. The car brand said that the V23’s roof rack supports a static load of up to 200 kilograms.
In the Philippines, iCaur will be distributed by Omoda & Jaecoo. It has already announced that it has signed its first four dealer partners in the Philippines, which include MG Gateway Group, Britannica United, Laus Auto Group, and DC Automotive. Together, the four groups are expected to establish iCaur’s presence across key areas of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
