Mitsubishi has shared another new detail for the upcoming next-generation Pajero. Previously, the Japanese automaker said that the next-gen model will come with the iconic tri-gauge meter. Now, Mitsubishi revealed some mechanical details of the next-gen Pajero.
The car brand said that the all-new Pajero cross-country SUV is built to deliver true off-road capability, offering confident driving across a wide range of weather and road conditions, while also offering a refined and smooth ride. To do just that, the next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero will be integrated with a heavy-duty and durable ladder frame chassis, giving the vehicle the capability to drive through rough and harsh terrain.
The upcoming Pajero’s ladder frame is complemented by a newly engineered suspension system, which is said to allow Mitsubishi’s cross-country SUV to absorb road imperfections or tough terrain with ease. This allows the vehicle to absorb large bumps and heavy impacts when driving over rocky or uneven ground. Mitsubishi added that the new suspension system helps minimize vehicle vibration, reducing fatigue for drivers and passengers during long trips.
To further improve overall handling, Mitsubishi shared that the next-gen Pajero will be equipped with the brand’s Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology. The S-AWC tech manages vehicle dynamics by optimizing power and braking to each wheel to maximize traction, off-road capability, and overall stability.
