VinFast Motorcycle is gearing up for its official launch in the Philippines, where it will be introducing a trio of electric motorcycles: Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. While it is preparing for its launch, VinFast shared that its e-motorcycles can swap batteries in just one minute, which addresses concerns about charging downtime.
Speaking of which, VinFast promises a faster, cheaper, and worry-free battery-swapping network built with “Filipino commuters and riders in mind.” To do this, it will be implementing the One-Minute Swap, which is a battery-swapping system built to power up an electric motorcycle in about a minute.
VinFast’s One-Minute Swap battery-swapping system is in partnership with V-Green. VinFast said that riders can pull into a swap station and trade a drained battery for a fully charged one. The Vietnamese company claims that the whole battery-swapping process only takes about a minute, which is seen to be beneficial to riders as it will make charging downtime a non-issue.
VinFast Motorcycle PH added that it is building its One-Minute Swap system through the growing V-Green network, with plans for around 30,000 stations nationwide that will be situated at VinFast dealerships, partner motorcycle shops, malls, and fuel stations across the country.
VinFast noted that the one-minute battery swap is beneficial to riders and could help entice more individuals to consider riding home a new VinFast e-motorcycle. Through the One-Minute Swap, VinFast said that its swap stations are built to match the average time when a motorcycle is “refueling.”
VinFast’s e-motorcycles charge overnight like any other device. It is said to take about three to four hours for one battery, or six to eight hours for two. Swapping adds another option on top of that, as it provides a fast top-up, making it more convenient for riders.
The company also offers a battery subscription for its electric motorcycles, where riders can access the battery swap network for a fee starting at P439 a month, with the first 12 months free. The battery subscription model is also around 20 percent lower than buying the e-motorcycle with its battery included.
The battery subscription model also takes care of the maintenance of the batteries. VinFast said that it will also replace the battery free of charge once its health drops below a set performance threshold.
The VinFast Evo, Feliz II, and Viper are set to launch officially in the Philippines on July 31, 2026.
