Honda has launched the 2027 Prelude Limited Edition in Japan, featuring exclusive paint and design elements that set it apart from the standard model.
The Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition gives the sports coupe a different aura, one that can arguably be labelled as giving it a new level of luxury. The exterior features an exclusive paint color called Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic, a deep red paint that is said to give “luster and depth” to the vehicle. The exclusive exterior paint on the Prelude Limited Edition resembles how a red wine appears when it is poured into the glass.
To match the special color, Honda opted to integrate red accents on the front and rear bumper. As an attention to detail, the Japanese car brand made the front upper grille molding to come with a body color finish, a subtle yet distinctive finish. The Honda Prelude Limited Edition also comes with machined black aluminum wheels, while the brake calipers are in red to accent the car’s Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic exterior paint.

Inside, the Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition comes with a two-tone interior, featuring a combination of burgundy and black. The driver and passenger seats are integrated with leather and smooth materials, which are finished in a two-tone layout. Meanwhile, the passenger side lining, door armrests, and center console feature a bordeaux trim. There’s also an embroidered Prelude lettering on the dashboard, while the steering wheel comes with red stitching.
Under the hood, it comes equipped with the same 2.0-liter e:HEV hybrid gasoline engine that delivers a max output of 182 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission (E-CVT) that features the new Honda S+ Shift. The S+ Shift is a sport-focused drive system that sharpens throttle response, simulates gear shifts in the e-CVT, and delivers a more engaging, performance-oriented feel.
The 2027 Honda Prelude Limited Edition is on sale in Japan with a sticker price of 6,306,300 Japanese Yen (around P2,381,000). It will be making its official debut on August 20, 2026.
