Ayala companies ACMobility and ACEN RES have partnered to further expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the country. The partnership of the two Ayala companies offers businesses an integrated energy and mobility solution that combines 100 percent renewable energy supply with EV charging infrastructure.

ACMobility and ACEN RES team up in response to market behavior where businesses and consumers increasingly explore electric mobility solutions amid rising fuel costs. ACMobility shared that organizations/businesses seek ways to manage energy expenses and reduce their carbon footprint.

Through the partnership, ACEN RES customers, including commercial and industrial establishments, can now install EV charging stations within their facilities while sourcing electricity from ACEN’s portfolio of renewable energy assets, enabling them to reduce emissions across both their operations and transport activities.

Under the agreement, ACEN RES customers may deploy charging stations for employee use, support their corporate EV fleets, or operate publicly accessible charging facilities as Charge Point Operators (CPOs).

Meanwhile, should ACEN RES customers choose to open their EV charging stations to the public, they will then be integrated into ACMobility’s EV charging ecosystem through the Evro app. The said app allows EV drivers to locate, access, and pay for charging sessions seamlessly. The Evro app will also provide automated billing and payment reconciliation, simplifying charging operations for site hosts.

ACMobility shared that the partnership enables businesses to advance their sustainability goals by pairing electric mobility with renewable energy. By ensuring that EV charging is powered by clean electricity, companies can further reduce emissions while supporting the expansion of the country’s EV charging network

“The convergence of clean energy and electric mobility is essential to the Philippines’ energy transition. Through this partnership, we are making it easier for businesses to adopt renewable energy and EV charging solutions, helping accelerate decarbonization across both operations and transport,” said ACEN President and CEO Eric Francia.

“Electric mobility delivers even greater value when powered by clean energy. Together with ACEN RES, we are enabling businesses to cut emissions by integrating renewable supply with EV charging,” shared ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala.

Autocar’s Take

ACMobility continues its efforts in keeping true to its promise of making electric vehicle (EV) charging more accessible in the Philippines. Its recent move is to partner with ACEN RES, which is also an Ayala company, to offer businesses an integrated energy and mobility solution that combines 100 percent renewable energy supply with EV charging infrastructure.

This partnership could entice more companies to explore the benefits of owning an EV, as well as consider the possibility of having an EV fleet for their operations. ACMobility shared that its partnership with ACEN RES allows businesses to advance their sustainability goals by pairing electric mobility with renewable energy.
