Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is locked and loaded to showcase its latest vehicle offerings at the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), happening from June 4 to 7, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
MMPC will highlight “Premium Adventure,” which aims to give visitors an immersive brand experience filled with “innovation, entertainment, and next-generation mobility solutions.” The car brand released a teaser image of the vehicles that we could expect to be launched at the upcoming PIMS 2026. From the looks of it, one of the vehicles to watch out for at Mitsubishi PH’s booth is the Outlander PHEV.
Aside from the Montero Sport-like front end, which is a distinct design feature of the new Outlander PHEV, the vehicle is expected to make its Philippine debut anytime soon, as it is already recognized by the Department of Energy. With that, the PIMS-bound Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV could come with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with twin electric motors, delivering a combined output of around 251 horsepower.

Mitsubishi claims that the powertrain allows the Outlander PHEV to run purely on electric driving mode for daily commutes, with an estimated EV-only range of over 80 kilometers under ideal conditions. When the battery runs low, the gasoline engine takes over, extending the total driving range to well over 800 kilometers.
Another reason why the Outlander PHEV is likely to debut at PIMS 2026 is the clue given by Mitsubishi PH, as it stated that it will unveil an all-new electrified model, indicating the brand’s “continued commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility solutions for the Philippine market.”
Other than the Outlander PHEV, the teaser image shared by MMPC also shows another vehicle, suggesting that it will launch a one-two punch combo. The second Mitsubishi vehicle that could most likely debut at the upcoming PIMS is the X-Force Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The said vehicle is already available in Thailand, alongside the Xpander HEV. The X-Force HEV’s debut is highly probable since Mitsubishi PH does not currently offer a hybrid vehicle.

Autocar’s Take
Mitsubishi Philippines is all set for the upcoming PIMS 2026, as it will be launching two vehicles at the said show. While there’s no official word yet, Mitsubishi PH could most likely debut the Outlander PHEV and the X-Force HEV, which would expand its model lineup and would give the brand a challenger in the new energy vehicle market. This is significant as Mitsubishi PH has yet to offer a hybrid vehicle, and somehow, we expected that the Xpander HEV would be the one arriving at PIMS since the Xpander is the best-selling car in the country last 2025.
