MG Motor Philippines is all set for the 2026 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival, happening from May 7 to 10 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. MG PH will be bringing its latest vehicles, such as the MG G50 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), to the said test drive event.
MG Motor PH President Wei Wei Zhang invites everyone to drop by MG’s booth to get the chance to experience the car brand’s latest offerings. He added that the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival is a perfect platform for interested individuals to learn more about MG PH’s vehicles.
“Events like the STV Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival provide the perfect platform for customers to fully experience MG’s latest innovations firsthand. With our latest models and electrified lineup available for test drive, we invite everyone to discover MG’s combination of innovation, performance, and everyday practicality,” Zhang said.
Among the MG vehicles that individuals can test drive at the event is the MG G50 PHEV, a seven-seater MPV that comes with a sleek exterior styling and crisp character lines. Inside, it has a dark interior theme, while the dashboard has a clutter-free design, and the use of physical buttons is reduced to a minimum, thanks to its 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the MG G50 PHEV is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, delivering a combined output of 299 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The PHEV system allows for up to 95 kilometers of pure electric driving, while a total combined range of up to 1,415 kilometers provides flexibility for longer trips.
Aside from the G50 PHEV, MG PH is also giving individuals the chance to get behind the wheel of the MG5 Prestige, a subcompact sedan that comes with a striking exterior design. The MG5 Prestige is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that puts out 109 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and power is sent to the front wheels.
Visitors can also get behind the wheel of MG’s growing Hybrid+ lineup, including the MG HS Hybrid+, MG ZS Hybrid+, and MG3 Hybrid+, giving customers a firsthand experience of the car brand’s hybrid technology.
Beyond the test drive experience, MG PH said that guests can look forward to a range of exciting activities at the MG booth, including exclusive event-only offers, special promotions, and a variety of prizes and giveaways throughout the four-day event. Of note, the 2026 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival comes with free admission.
