Denza has expanded its model lineup in the Philippines with the official launch of the B5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). It officially made its PH debut alongside its larger sibling, the B8 PHEV, which joins the D9 seven-seater minivan in Denza’s local model offerings.
The 2026 Denza B5 PHEV is a five-seater SUV that’s ready to take on rough terrain. It is sized similarly to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado but is slightly smaller, measuring 37mm shorter and 10mm narrower. The Denza B5 PHEV has an aggressive, bold exterior design that conveys capability for driving through tough terrain.
The B5’s aggressive demeanor is instantly noticeable when you look at its front end, as it is fitted with a muscular bumper that’s complemented by a large grille with horizontal slats and a honeycomb pattern. The LED headlights with daytime running lights give the B5 a modern appeal, striking a balance with its assertive front fascia.
Turning at the side, the B5 comes with a chiseled profile, which is highlighted by the prominent fender flares, as well as the unique trims seen on the doors. It also comes with roof rails for that added functionality, power-folding side mirrors, and a set of 18-inch wheels.

The rear is equally showing off an aggressive appeal, as seen with the B5 PHEV’s chunky bumper, distinctive LED taillights, and a full-size spare with cover. It also has a third brake light for that added visibility.
Inside, the Denza B5 PHEV has a modern interior that’s dominated by large screens. The dashboard is clutter-free, as the integration of tactile or physical buttons is reduced to a minimum. Most of the physical buttons are stacked cleanly on the center console, near the gear selector and the wireless smartphone charger.
Denza shared that the B5 also has a 15.6-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It is also equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree view monitor, and a head-up display. This gives the impression that the Denza B5 comes with a modern-looking cabin.
The B5 PHEV is also integrated with an 18-speaker Devialet audio system, a built-in refrigerator, leather seats, ventilated front seats, a large leather steering wheel with tilt & telescopic adjustment, and a 60:40 split for the rear seats.

It also comes with DiPilot, which is Denza’s advanced driver assistance system that includes features such as the adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, intelligent cruise control, and emergency lane keeping assist, among others. Of note, the Denza B5 PHEV features “Leopard Turn,” a special turning or maneuvering trick to help it turn in tight spaces. It enables tight U-turns, right-angle turns, and obstacle-limited maneuvers in a single move without repeated reversing.
Under the hood, the 2026 Denza B5 PHEV is a midsize SUV that is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with dual motors and a 31.8 kWh battery in a four-wheel-drive configuration. It produces a combined power output of 578 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, and it can go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Denza claims that the B5 PHEV SUV can deliver a combined maximum range of 975 kilometers (NEDC) and has a pure electric range of 100 kilometers (NEDC).
The Denza B5 PHEV is available in the following exterior color options: Granite Grey, Leopard Gold, Eclipse Black, Glacier Blue, Alpine White, and Juniper Green.
Autocar’s Take
Denza is determined to make its presence felt in the Philippine market, as it launched a new addition to its expanding local model lineup. The B5 PHEV is a tough-looking SUV that’s packed with essential features, modern amenities, and smart technology. With these elements, the B5 could help Denza to further widen its customer base in the Philippines, as it can sway some buyers into driving home the B5 due to its commanding exterior and premium interior.
The B5 PHEV joins other Denza models currently available in the Philippines, which are the D9 minivan and the B8. From the looks of it, Denza is committed to making a mark in the local market.
