Ford is Muntinlupa City’s top corporate taxpayer yet again

Ford Philippines has once again been recognized as the top corporate taxpayer in Muntinlupa City. The recognition was given to the Blue Oval brand during Muntinlupa City’s celebration of its 31st cityhood anniversary.   

Being the top corporate taxpayer in Muntinlupa, Ford PH said that this reinforces its commitment to good corporate governance and responsible business practices. Of note, Ford first made it to the list of top corporate taxpayers in 2014, a year after it moved its corporate headquarters to Alabang in Muntinlupa City. Since then, Ford PH has consistently earned the citation as one of the city’s top taxpayers.

Ford PH Managing Director Pedro Simoes said that being named as the top corporate taxpayer in Muntinlupa City shows the company’s ethical business operations. 

“This important citation is a testament to our commitment to good governance and ethical business operations. We thank the Muntinlupa City for recognizing our contributions to the city as a responsible company, and we look forward to the continued strong partnership with the local government for many years to come,” Simoes said.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Blue Oval brand is Ford PH Government and Corporate Affairs Director Kent Primor. Present during the awarding ceremony were Muntinlupa City Administrator Engr. Allan A. Cachuela, Muntinlupa City Mayor Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” B. Biazon, and Muntinlupa Local Economic Investment and Promotion Office Head Gary Llamas.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon shared that honest payment of taxes enables the city government to generate projects that help the city’s overall economic progress.

“Walang programa, serbisyo, o proyektong maipapatupad ang city government kung hindi dahil sa ating taxpayers. Kayo ang patuloy na tumutulong sa pag-usad ng ating lungsod sa pamamagitan ng tapat na pagbabayad ng buwis at sa inyong kontribusyon sa local economy,” Mayor Biazon expressed.

Ford Group Philippines, Inc. has once again shown its commitment to running an honest business, which is highlighted by responsibly paying its taxes. Since it moved its office to Alabang in 2014, Ford PH has been among the top corporate taxpayers in Muntinlupa, a testament to the company’s ethics and determination to achieve good corporate governance and responsible business practices.  

As such, Ford PH is showing that, other than yielding notable sales, such as for the Territory Hybrid and Everest, the company is also prioritizing paying the right taxes. This speaks volumes to how Ford does business in the Philippines.
