
BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) in launching a campaign that promotes sustainable land travel across the country, dubbed “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.”
The said campaign will feature land travel across the Philippines through a nationwide electrified drive from North to South using BYD vehicles. The electric road trip will be supported by ACMobility’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, which is continuously expanding as of this writing. To formally launch the Drive Electric. Love Pinas. campaign, representatives from BYD, ACMobility, and the DOT gathered at BYD Manila Bay for the ceremonial contract signing.
“This partnership between ACMobility, BYD, and the Department of Tourism is a defining moment for sustainable travel in our country. Together, we are leading the charge to reshape the way Filipinos travel and experience the Philippines. By breaking the old mold of mobility, we are able to fuel tourism with zero emissions,” said ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel De Ayala.
The campaign will also be able to highlight ACMobility’s Philippine EV infrastructure, which is said to be a nationwide network designed to enable seamless long-distance electric travel from Pagudpud to General Santos City. By integrating EV infrastructure with DOT Tourist Rest Areas, the campaign seeks to highlight key Philippine destinations and drive economic growth through accessible mobility.

“The ‘Drive Electric. Love Pinas.’ campaign is a transformative step in our mission to champion a tourism industry that is substantive, purposeful, and deeply rooted in stewardship. The initiative aligns tourism development with national policy directions on sustainability and clean energy, ensuring that as we move toward recovery and transformation, we do so with a clear commitment to environmental responsibility,” shared Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.
The Drive Electric. Love Pinas. campaign will kick off in the first quarter of 2026. BYD PH said that Travel Vlogger Wil Dasovish will serve as the Lead Navigator of the electric road trip. Dasovich will embark on a road trip across the Philippines to rediscover local culture and landmarks. Moreover, the road trip also aims to amplify the DOT’s “Love the Philippines” messaging.

BYD Cars Philippines’ and ACMobility’s partnership with the Department of Tourism is a good initiative, and it also shows ACMobility’s confidence in its EV charging stations in the Philippines. Aside from promoting key destinations and BYD EVs, the highlight of the Drive Electric. Love Pinas. campaign is to show that ACMoblity’s EV infrastructure could allow you to drive from “North to South” or extensive distances since there are readily available EV charging hubs along the way.
The electric road trip that will be led by Wil Dasovich will subsequently show that driving an EV over long distances is possible since ACMobility’s EV charging infrastructure is available. In fact, ACMobility is continuously expanding its infrastructure further, which is aimed at encouraging more consumers to own an EV.
