Chery Auto Philippines (CAP), through its official local distributor, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), has introduced the all-new Tiggo rEV Luxury Edition (LE). CAP aims to raise the bar in the country’s hybrid market with an entry that combines family-friendly space, advanced safety, and intelligent technology at a competitive entry point of just P1,528,000.
The Chery Tiggo rEV LE is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission. Together with its electric drive system, it delivers 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. According to CAP, the Tiggo rEV LE boasts a combined powertrain driving range of 1,400 km. The SUV’s hybrid system can accommodate both AC and DC fast charging via Type 2 and CCS2 (Combined Charging System 2) systems, respectively. With this setup, users can take advantage of both hybrid and full EV modes without the hassle of range anxiety.
Safety is paramount in this new Chinese PHEV SUV. As such, it is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring. Additionally, the Tiggo rEV LE features a 540-degree camera system, complemented with dynamic guidelines and a built-in front digital video recorder for added safety.
Inside, the Chery Tiggo rEV LE emphasizes comfort and convenience. It showcases a 15.6-inch floating infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch driver information screen. Entertainment is provided by a 12-speaker surround sound audio system, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensure seamless connectivity. ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, and smart proximity key access.
