Hyundai Venue makes surprise comeback – What’s new?

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the former local distributor of Hyundai, introduced the Venue small SUV in the market in October 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. But its run was short-lived as the Korean brand quietly took it out of the inventory as the country fully resettled back into normal living.

Now, the brand’s new distributor, Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has brought back the Venue as its entry-level model for the budget-conscious buyers who want to experience the Hyundai brand of cars for the first time. For 2025, the Hyundai Venue offers more than just competitive pricing. Developed under Hyundai’s global platform, the Venue boasts style, reliability, and convenience – things that Filipino car buyers value the most.

The Hyundai Venue’s exterior combines premium touches with a youthful edge. Its bold front grille is designed with distinct 3D patterns that give it a unique presence. On both sides of the grille are LED lighting signatures that complete the sleek fascia design. Hyundai improved the Venue’s headlights with static bending, which automatically illuminates the immediate road and surroundings in the direction the driver is turning. This is helpful during night driving and poor driving conditions, but is only available in the top-end GLS 6AT variant.

Despite its size, the Hyundai Venue exhibits a profile design, akin to its larger family members in the brand – bold, edgy, and muscular. This is complemented by a set of either 15- or 17-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim. The rear end, on the other hand, is fashioned with LED lenticular taillights that give the car its distinct appearance in the family.

Inside, the Hyundai Venue is equipped with features tailored to the modern lifestyle of many Filipino drivers. The GLS 6AT and mid-level GL 6AT come with smart keyless entry and a push-start button, while the base variant, GL MT, gets keyless entry only. All three variants feature fabric seats and an 8-inch display audio system with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver receives updated vehicle information via a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, available on the GLS 6AT and GL 6AT variants, while the GL MT features a smaller 3.5-inch display. Moreover, those who need to charge their mobile devices can enjoy dual charging ports. For safety and convenience, the Hyundai Venue has a rearview monitor, a useful feature when parking or reversing in tight spaces.

The 2025 Hyundai Venue is powered by a 1.6-liter engine that produces 123 hp and 151 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission available in both manual and automatic configurations. Driving dynamics are enhanced with the Hyundai Venue’s Drive Mode Select. Drivers can choose between Normal, Eco, and Sport, as needed, while adjustable traction control ensures confidence on varying road conditions.

“The return of the Hyundai Venue reaffirms HMPH’s commitment to making the Hyundai ownership experience more within reach, while maintaining the brand’s renowned quality and reliability. At the same time, we also answer our customers’ demands by bringing back this notable nameplate. We are proud to reintroduce this vehicle, which offers the right balance of premium features, trusted engineering, and smart value, which we think is the perfect blend for the modern Filipino – especially those who wish to join the Hyundai family for the first time,” shared Cecil Capacete, HMPH Managing Director.

The Hyundai Venue is available in three variants:

  • Venue 1.6 GL 6MT – P778,000
  • Venue 1.6 GL 6AT – P898,000
  • Venue 1.6 GLS 6AT – P998,000

Customers can choose from four available colors – Denim Blue, Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, and Atlas White. HMPH says financing plans from its partner banks are available with down payment options starting at P28,000, and monthly amortizations as low as P15,000. Opting to pay in cash will come with discounts of up to P46,000.
